Jade is still deludED...

Ed is a scumbag plain and simple. And his cards he kept banging on about were to play Jade to get further in the game. The guy is a royal douchbag.
Jade was just embarrassing herself how she was laying over Ed, saying how cute every little stupid thing he did. And the guy never could return any of those feelings. Thank goodness he is gonnneee, never to be heard from again.
 
If you read last night's LF updates and watch the videos, I don't think she's deludED any longer. And if she was, the others in the spa last night made sure she knew the score. I think she'd just found out some very hurtful information on live tv and wanted to understand wtf was going on so that's the reaction we got. Remember when BB was talking to her she didn't even realise it so I'm not sure her head was really in the right space for any of that at all. Not like there'd ever be an ideal time but maybe if Ed had left a week or two sooner and she wasn't still in the midst of 'grieving' him going. But instead the night after he left: BAM! and unfortunately for her that's just how the timing played out. The Australian public got what they wanted... now she knows the truth and if there was still any doubt in her mind, she definitely knows after the spa last night that it was when they were officially together or wtf you can call that relationship so let's see how she goes now. From what I can tell, so far so good. :)
 
It's better she hears it now, shocking as it is for her, than on the stage when she goes out, or after she's left the show. It's the least worst time for her to hear it, given the situation as it is. Poor girl. I'm glad her father is flying out.

Yeah, I agree with you. I do want Jade to come third. If she hadn't been so consumed with Ed for the whole series and isolated herself, perhaps I would have grown to like her. She's definitely better than Drew & BOOGA! Gross!

He apparently felt bad that he out her up instead if Tim and kept telling us and everyone else that would listen how bad he felt, only to nominate her a week later? Sounds like a class act :p
 
I don't think they showed her when Ed said "You make do with what you have."

Really hope she forgets about Ed after everything comes to light instead of getting sucked into "I didn't mean it" or "We were not as close as we are now" ...

I kind of wish they had shown Jade that clip of Ed saying to Tahan "You make do with what you have". Think Jade needs to be "shocked" into realising that Ed isn't anything like what she thinks he is. Yes she'll be hurt but I can just see her making excuses after excuses concerning Ed otherwise. Maybe with what Jade was shown she will start to question herself about Ed - hopefully. Otherwise I can just see her on her eviction waxing lyrically on about Ed, how wonderful he is, yes they have a real relationship, yes they are going to make a go of it on the outside........then WHAM they blindside her with all the clips of Ed saying how he just isn't in to her.
 
[MENTION=19123]aragon[/MENTION] I agree with everything you said! I don't want Jade hurt, but I wish they had shown it just so she can move on. I'm sure she is questioning things, but I just think that might have helped. I want her to stay strong about it and not let Ed talk his way around it.

He told her right from the start he wasnt interested.

I saw the whole thing as a drunken hook up (which is how it all started) that he couldnt just wake up in the morning and walk away from.

Although I dont agree with the way he handled it, I can see where he kept trying to draw the line at friends with benefits but jade kept (and still does) make excuses for his behaviour.

He is a fault for not being more firm, but so is she for pushing herself into him and putting him in that situation to begin with.

Ive never had any sympathy for either of them, but the stuff shown to jade last night was harsh and there was nothing in the 'treat' video to show any good times they spent together. I do feel bad for her for that :(

The first time he said it she didnt ignore it. She told him she understood and then told (not asked) him that she will still cuddle up to him anyway.
It was shown in a DS they were he was laying on the couch in lounge room I think.
 
It is like most of you don't understand that feelings can change.

Ed may have started out not being into Jade, but she obviously grew on him like a bacteria and in time his feelings changed.

I know for myself when this season first started, I loved most of the posters in here, but after three months and having the opportunity to get to know most of you better, I hate your guts. Feelings change, that is a normal human response.

From what I saw it would appear that Ed's feelings genuinely changed for Jade and by the eviction he was quite fond of her.
 
Yeah Ed was so fond of Jade by the end that he left a clinical goodbye message instead of a heartfelt one, looked embarassed while watching videos of him and her, looked like a mouse caught in a trap in the live audience watching the show, and never mentioned her on twitter until people pointed out that he should be doing that and how he hasn't.

Ed is 100% into Ed and how the world perceives him.

Jade shines without him.

On another note I think Tahan should have told Jade about the "You make do with what you have".

A few weeks ago, when Tahan won the Showdown, she took Ed into the Presidential Suite. Anyway Ed was playing down anything that he had with Jade, and said word for word to Tahan, "You make do with what you have in here." He was referring to what he and Jade had. I was very surprised that BB didn't show it during the Trick or Treat.

Thanks. Too much to show during trick 'n treat maybe. There was already plenty of anti Ed footage, that was not quite so callous sounding. That comment would have been pretty horrible to hear.

It's probably a good thing that Jade didn't hear it. She was already sitting there so quiet and looking dis-connected from the other four. I think she really is a sensitive soul with a really good heart. I've grown to like her a lot more over the past 2 months.
