Same. She just seems a bit... unpleasant and annoying. I'm happy for her not to get evicted straight away though because at least she's not a pot plant.I can not warm up to her. She is one of my least favorite HM. That can change but for now that's what I think

Gemma needs to be given a chance! She has only been given a very small amount of air time and its all pretty much been negative. It's like producers/editors are trying to get her kicked out. Perhaps if she lost a foot in height, dyed her hair, pranced around the house in more revealing clothes and didn't talk she'd be more liked! There cant just be all 'pretty', 'cool' kids in the house.

That massive tantrum she had was so over the top. I would've already lost it with her if I was in the house.

I think she is deliberately mean and condescending. I hope she does go.

Deliberately or not, either way she seems to have some issues. It's entirely possible she's completely unaware of how ridiculously she's acting - I think everyone knows someone like this - but if it's deliberate it's a strange strategy.

I don't think she is doing it deliberately, I think that she has zero self awareness as evidenced with her having a meltdown and punching a pillow in front of everyone then assuming that she'll get the sympathy vote.

Maybe but if so hopefully this experience bursts whatever bubble she has been living in and introduces her to the real world. She reminds me of a five year old combined with a bitchy high schooler with a good dose of social awkwardness thrown in.

She may be annoying, but I kinda pity her at times. She seems very insecure.
I don't blame her, her height has turned her into a SIDE SHOW.

Look out - fiery Gemma's got a new strategy!
With this year’s first Live Eviction just around the corner, the four Nominated Pairs appear to be modifying their game plans to maximise their chances of survival.
Sandra & David, Skye & Lisa, and Travis & Cat have adopted similar strategies of solidarity, actively working this week on strengthening their individual partnerships with dedicated Pair-time.
Skye & Lisa spent time together training newest and cutest Housemates Ned and Kelly; Sandra & David have sought out some “marriage counselling” to ease their bickering; and new Pair Travis & Cat have whiled away the days with poolside D&Ms.
On the contrary, Nominations tally-toppers Gemma & Jake, who copped almost 40% of all Nomination points with 17 strikes, are going for broke with a rather audacious strategy that’s sure to get tongues wagging!
“We don’t need the people in here to like us, we need the people out there to like us,” Gemma whispered to Pair partner Jake in the Lounge, divulging her new plan to deliberately cause tension in the House.
“So you’re purposely trying to make enemies?” Jake enquired, trying to get inside his Pair partner’s head.
“No no! I’m just talking about people. Not always in a negative way… Just verbalising my feelings on other Housemates,” Gemma explained.
She assured Jake that she would remain true to herself, but thinks it more advantageous to be positioned at the eye of the House storm rather than keeping a lid on her frustrations and grievances.
“You do say things to people that ruffle feathers, and I’m just in two minds,” Jake countered. “Me personally, I don’t really have any battles, and I know you’re starting a few. At the moment, I don’t know whether to play passive about it and not get involved, or to create more conflict.”
Gemma suggested that together they could create quite a stir. “It might be advantageous if I am used as the scapegoat,” she mused. “I’m the spoon, you’re the stirrer…”
The fiery redhead decided to put her new strategy to the test shortly after when Priya challenged her about speaking to other Housemates behind her back.
“Gemma, have you been telling everyone that you’re pissed at me, because you haven’t told me?” Priya challenged. “You and I are close; you can say that to me.”
“You’re argumentativeness has offended me today,” Gemma replied bluntly, before accusing Priya of buying into gossip. “Second-hand information is no information at all.”
When Priya left the room, Gemma collapsed in a heap of laughter.
“This is great,” Jake commended her on her efforts, suggesting that he may now be on board with the risky strategy.
Unbeknownst to the scheming Pair, though, fellow Housemates Sam and Sandra had been eavesdropping on their earlier conversation and had heard the entire setup play out!
But perhaps Gemma and Jake have neglected the golden rule of good strategising - that it remains secret!

Man, some people make it hard to sympathize with them. Gemma is one such person. And, I don't get Jake. Is he just content to go home? Why is it her telling them how to strategize? She's the one no one likes. He should be trying to save both of them. Some of these partnerships leave me shaking my head. Considering they don't know both are not going, I can't believe Jake is not being more proactive. I actually had a little laugh that Gemma thinks what she is doing is endearing her to the public. FYI, we can hear your lame strategy, and no doubt knowing it will put voters off. In ways, Gemma reminds me of the kid who was teased who then becomes the person teasing. The whole thing with Priya just made her and Jake look bad. I loved that Priya handled it like an adult. The good thing is, if she keeps up her winning strategy, David will be around awhile longer.

yeah I'm not quite sure what Gemma is suppose to be doing with her new strategy...the other day she said to Jake that she would get sympathy votes and him the likeable votes from the publicMan, some people make it hard to sympathize with them. What are your thoughts on any other Housemates?
I think Jake being paired up with Gemma and her being so unliked would be scaring him a little bit. Jake does not like conflict – he is definitely not like me in that regard! He doesn’t like dealing it or causing it. Gemma is causing him a lot of trouble but he is also very loyal. Jake could have blamed a lot of things on Gemma and bitched about her to the other Housemates but he hasn’t at all. He is a really nice guy and a great listener and I think he would genuinely care for Gemma. But we are missing a lot of him – I think he is going under the radar a little bit. But that was a terrible kiss he had with Skye! That was so awkward!

She's COMPLETELY out of touch. I'm convinced of that. I'm wondering if she's ever watched the show. The joke is, if she ran with the victim bit, that might have worked. People were coming around a little. But, her manipulating the public will surely backfire. She might be likable, but we'll never know because she is intent on playing different roles.
