I adore how Ray grates on the other HMs, notices it and smiles to himself as if he's succeeded. He's not desperate to be accepted. He's awesome.

I totally agree with the first sentence but the next two I'd change to, "he's desperate to win" and "he's competitive".

I think Ray should go. He seems like a total tosser who is so far up his own arse he is sometimes embarrassing to watch.

I agree with the second sentence completely but I reckon it's why he needs to stay, at least beyond this upcoming eviction.
