Is Jake gay?

Yeah, she was clearly pretty smashed. Just not enough though, because he definitely tried hard. It's only a matter of time. He'll persevere, because it's strategy or desperation, one of the two. Outside of the house, he wouldn't stand a chance with Lisa, mainly because I doubt he is her type at all.
 
I'm not sure. Either way, I do think his flirting and wanting to kiss Lisa was a way to get more screen time. It was strategic. I could definitely see through it!!!

I forgot that some housemates know how to play it up for more screen time.
 
Thank GOD for this board. I have been trying to seek out opinions regarding Jake's sexuality, but BB AUS is less popular here in Canada.


I have excellent gaydar and he is VERY gay in my opinion. Which is annoying because I wish Skye could see it.


Also I think the Lisa thing happened after Tim came in and somehow Tim gave the signal to do that... or Jake was reminded of game play with Tim's appearance on the show and he stepped his game up. I do NOT think it's real. I really don't think he has feelings for her at all.

  • Another thing which piqued my interest was when Jason and Jake were walking around the pool, and Jason was sussing out (on Skye's behalf) whether Jake had feelings for her or not... Jason: Are you interested in anyone?
    Jake: ...... maybe.....why?

    Jake: Just curious? ...... What do you know, that I don't know, that you should tell me, that I should tell you? ...... Just curious?
    I understand Jake may have been feeling awkward and on the spot about Skye's keen interest and whatnot, but he just seemed to be hesitating to admit a crush ("maybe... why?") but then later clarified: "I'm not really crushing on Skye at all" (Jake).
    I just feel like (this is a massive stretch!) he may have interest in Jason as a (fellow?) gay housemate and wanted to make it known that he *did* have a crush, just not on Skye.

    Anyway, maybe it's all in my head, but just gauging anyone elses thoughts on this!

    I hope poor Jake doesn't get the boot this week... I feel bad he's pretty much collateral damage from all the votes directed at Gemma!

Yep. At The very least it was obvious that Tim came in to talk up his mate. Jake's interest in Lisa had never been depicted before but when Tim came in all of a sudden there was a love triangle. This is the definition of showmance, at least one Jake's end. And he has Tim to thank for the assist.

Can I just say it's so obnoxious and pretentious (and thick honestly) when posters on forums sanctimoniously and defensively question why a housemate's sexuality matters. It doesn't in terms of how he goes about his real life outside of the show. But more than anything, it's just a matter of curiosity. If you were to meet Jake in real life and were unsure and he hadn't stated anything definitive, you'd ask the same thing. It's no different than speculating if Skye's lips are real (although their being fake should come as a surprise to no one). Moreover, this is a reality show with emphasis on relationships and Jake is (trying to) embark on a physically intimate relationship with a female, how is his sexuality not relevant? If he is gay then we know indubitively that Jake is just playing a game with Skye and Lisa. Personally, I immediately got an asexual vibe as I did with Tim last year. But based on his interaction with women, I'm leaning toward gay.
