I thought she was perfectly fine, and actually quite liked her but she was also up against two strong faves at the time being Regina and Dan, so she was simply seen as the main target to evict so the top faves could be saved.

Not in the same league. Jo was intelligent, successful, confident in herself; I remember Carmel originally introduced her as the alpha female of the house, though I think that role went to Chrissie in the end. Jade isn't any of those things.
