In Defence Of Cat & Lawson

Oh, I am going to be so hated for this thread, but so what?
Sometimes you can't fight true love - maybe this is what Cat & Lawson have found between them?
Who knows for sure that Candice is really the innocent party, how solid to start with was the relationship with Lawson? How do we know that she wasn't the one who caused the initial split before the reconciliation on the eve of Lawson going into lockdown?
I for one think Cat and Lawson are great together, Clawson is about the only interesting thing in Big Brother 2014 - the producers would agree with me.

Personally I think Cat is a great woman. Sure she went for a guy who had a girlfriend but if he didn't have feelings for her she would have stopped. It was a two way street and it soon turned into a romantic night of fondling and toe fucking. Since that night it's safe to say Lawson no longer had a girlfriend. I think he was embarrassed about how he carried himself and showed genuine remorse but at the end of the day the heart wants what the heart wants. It must be real otherwise they both wouldn't have pursued it to this extent. It will be interesting to see what plays out next among the housemates once they are made aware of what's going on. In my opinion it shouldn't be a big deal but of course everything in the BB house is a big deal.

Lawson has never tried to stop Cat. He has 100 per cent entertained her and encouraged her.

I think being in the house will be different for them when they're eventually outside the house. They are in very different stages of their lives too. He's an apprentice and lives with his family still. She's a 30-something divorcee with an established career.

It would be interesting to hear what both their families think about it all. Can't wait for their media interviews.

The heart wants what the heart wants, but there could have been some respect for his girlfriend, her family etc.
What kind of people disregard another person, and continue doing something they know would be hurting that person. 5 years is a long time, neither Lawson or Cat gave a fuck about that.

It's not true love at all, you can see it in their crazy little eyes. They're literally so engrossed in their environment that "the outside" really means nothing to them, no matter how many times they reference it themselves.

I personally don't think it's true love and doubt that it would last in the real world. Like @glamourama said, they are at very different stages of their lives.

However, I am very much over the sanctimonious bashing of their dalliance. Yes, it's established that Lawson has done wrong by his girlfriend. Yes, Cat should know better than to chase a taken man. But you can't help what you feel, and no none knows how charged and small the BB environment is. Furthermore, we don't know the true status of Lawson and Candice's relationship. And let's not forget that he is getting some of his just desserts by the anguish and guilt he feels.

Say what you will about him crying in the diary room then hanging with Cat afterwards, but that is the dichotomy of the heart and mind. He is just trying to work through it as best as he can and I don't think it's anyone's place to judge so absolutely. I feel a lot of people are projecting their own personal insecurities and fears onto Clawson, and fair enough that's their prerogative. But give it a rest already, sheesh. The horse is well and truly dead.

That's it. Cat said she forgot about Candice, Lawson only seems to care about her when he is in the diary room; it means nothing at all to either of them.

I've seen a lot of people saying we don't know the real story behind his relationship. You're right that we don't know, but Lawson went into BB saying he had a girlfriend. You don't go on national TV claiming to be in a relationship, then change your tune and say 'it's complicated' to justify your feelings for someone else. Regardless of how Lawson and Cat feel, the fact that he entered BB IN a relationship should mean that they respect that. You can't decide your relationship is rocky and tell that to people without talking to your partner first, at least discuss the relationship before moving onto someone else.

I guess my point is that he entered BB in a relationship and considering Candice isn't there to talk with Lawson, he shouldn't start a relationship with another woman, purely out of respect for Candice.

I think they're both good people who have made bad choices. It's very hard for me to judge whether it is a genuine relationship from the little bits we get shown.

I hope that when Lawson gets out of the house, he can have a good conversation with Candice on where their relationship stands and how they will move forward.

I like both Cat and Lawson and although I don't condone cheating at all, I'm not going to sit here and judge them because I don't know the full story. I don't know what their relationship was like on the outside. Maybe Candice is keen on someone else and broke it off with Lawson but then changed her mind? Maybe she doesn't really love him the way she used to? Who knows! We're only being shown snippets of their conversations and time together in the house too. Who knows what Big Brother isn't showing us / telling us. For me, the most interesting storyline of Big Brother this year has been the whole Lawson / Cat drama. I think they are very keen on each other and have been fighting their feelings for a while. Do I think it's love? No, not really. I think it's more lust than anything. They're both craving attention, both physical and mental and have formed a connection. The sexual tension has been building and building and it was only a matter of time before Lawson caved. I guess we'll have to wait and see what Big Brother chooses to show us tomorrow night. Does BB tell Lawson that Candice has broken up with him? If she has broken up with him and notified BB, will we see the footage of Lawson being told this information? I'm really looking forward to tomorrow night's episode to find out how it all played out.

Pretty sure BB puts people in the house that are in relationships for a reason. Obviously it causes a lot of uproar with the public when housemates become attracted to each other and pursue new relationships even though they have lovers on the outside. It's a social trap and it has been something I have expected year after year to be honest. It's all a part of BB's recipe :D (one of many).

Ok, hypothetically, let's just say Candice is a massive bitch and has treated Lawson like shit and has cheated on him a thousand times over their 5 years (which I don't believe). That would STILL be no reason for Lawson to carry on the way he has. He's on national tv! He's embarrassed Candice and her family publicly and no one deserves that, no matter what the circumstances are. Public humiliation is never cool. He says he's "young". Oh please, he's 23, not 16. As for Cat, I wish Lawson stuck his toe in her mouth instead, her voice grates on my last nerve.

Actually everything about her grates me. Especially the tongue ring, the tears, the massive zit, shall I go on?
