I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here | Australia

Brilliant promo though unfortunate that the first thing you see on the Youtube cap is a cricketer with a helmet which doesn't offer decent protection to the back of the head.

Channel Ten is yet to announce the personalities that will star on the Australian version of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
  • But speculation is rife about which local stars will be flown to Africa to film the reality television show - and hot guesses include Sophie Monk.

The actress and media personality just recently left flailing Sydney radio program Breakfast With The Stars - before the whole show got the axe - and has not yet revealed what she plans to do next.

Getting out of here? Sophie Monk could star in the local version of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, due to start filming in Africa next year

Last month the 35-year-old remained tight-lipped on any possible future projects, only saying she had been 'bombarded' with new opportunities.

She is currently celebrating her 35th birthday in Bali, where she's been showing off her quirky personality on social media, as usual.

The funnywoman posted a short video on Instagram that showed her smothering icecream on her face, and also revealed she's been riding a motorbike.

In the fast lane: She has also been riding on the back of a motorbike, as seen in a photo posted to Instagram while she enjoys a holiday in Bali

Sophie's outgoing and outspoken personality would make her the perfect candidate for the show, which will see the group of celebrities taken out of their comfort zones, with no luxuries as they complete various challenges in the African jungle.

Other potential contenders have been named as actor Vince Colosimo, The Bachelor Australia star Laurina Fleure, Ian 'Dicko' Dickson, Big Brother 2013 contestant Ben Zabel and controversial Dancing With The Stars contestant Mark Holden.

Laurina gained popularity after slamming Bachelor Blake for taking her on a date to eat a 'dirty street pie' on the show.

Possible contenders: Laurina Fleur, who competed on The Bachelor Australia, and Ian 'Dicko' Dickson of Australian Idol fame are also speculated to be good options

Meanwhile Dicko gave a reminder of his no-nonsense ways as a judge on Australian Idol when he spoke out about judges on The Voice and The X Factor being 'too soft'.

And actor Vince Colosimo could use the cash reward after it was revealed that between acting jobs he has been working on a building site to earn extra money, to pay off fines he received for driving with a suspended licence.

Ben Zabel is a well-liked Australian figure who recently held a comedy show at the Brisbane powerhouse, and who received an outpouring of support from the public when he opened up about his battle with depression recently.

Mark Holden is likely to be top of mind for producers after his unusual outbursts while competing on Dancing With The Stars.

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here is set to begin filming in the new year and will be co-hosted by comedian Julia Morris and TV vet Dr Chris Brown.

I thought of Sophie Monk actually, and for some reason the cricketer I thought might be Shane Warne, be interesting since they are rumoured to have a past

Sophie Monk! She'd be perfect. (She was so luscious when she was on Popstars I think it was, and a bit plumper. I've always had a soft spot for her based on that show.) Would love to see her un-dolled up and getting narky about the cooking of the beans, etc.

I keep forgetting this is coming - haven't seen a promo yet, either - can't wait. Every time I pop into the forum and see the title of this thread I get excited!
