Episode I'm a Celebrity 2025: Episode 21 (Final)

…well… consider me surprised… I was hoping that it was Matty just so it wasn’t Reggie but how about that?… Sam took it out… I’m happy that a footy player won it!… (words I never thought would ever come out of my mouth in my lifetime)… anyway… thank fuck that shit is finally over!… and thank you to all of you wonderful folk for making this all bearable… I seriously doubt that I’ll watch this drivel again next year… it’s total crud… but you all were great fun… thanks for all the fun… nite all… sleep tight… pleasant dreams… cheers.

TBH I feel like I'm remembering now why I fell off watching this show during covid, it's just not that riveting television. It doesn't have that unmissible event feel to it that other shows have. I will probably just pop in casually next year. I can't give 5 nights a week of my time to a medicore show again...

Oh well, at least the weakest (aside from Amazing Race maybe) CH10 show is out of the way. Hopefully we'll see more posting in the survivor threads. I expect to see you there @Mr Stickyfingers !!!

^ the show felt very cheaply produced, there was a lot of product placement in every single episode, the episodes were in a repetitive formula, some of the tucker trials were weak, there were no straight after elimination interviews and there were no highlights package were made for said interviews.

Speaking of the Tucker trials last night’s final one with the families was very weak. Basically a cheap quiz. They should have had something like the season 3 final Tucker trial where it is up to the families to do a difficult challenge and if they do badly then the celebrities get something bad happen to them. It’s funny that way and makes the stakes higher.

The families didn’t even get to spend dinner with them either.

The pre-recorded final lacked atmosphere. You didn’t even hear the crew laughing very much if at all either which was very weird. It felt like it was just 1 camera guy and Robert and Julia.

They really should be live for the whole series. If they must save costs just have the final episode live on a Thursday night. Their next reality show can start on the Sunday night.

Consolidated ratings came out yesterday morning, finale only scored 733,000 on average. 13% down on last years 842,000. Comparing this years average (0.75 million) to last years (0.83 million) its down almost 10%. I kept charts for both seasons, it seems whilst week 1 did well this year viewers were quick to jump over to Nine.

In fairness last year I'm a Celeb only faced 2 nights of MAFS a week to compete against and had no MAFS against it in its last 2 weeks. That may play a factor in this season doing poorly, but still very average numbers this year.

Channel 10 have a habit of hammering the viewers with ads months leading up to the show & by the time the show starts people are over it.

If it returns, they have to change the challenges/trial etc, it's same same but not different.

Robert has to cut back on all the 'endorsements' he does. He seems to be everywhere. He is over saturated. Julia has to find new material.
