Well I am in shock.

How on earth did Ben get knocked out.
That is toooo weird!!!!!!!!!!!

Was in the Ed and Jade date that kept them in ?
I really can't believe it.

Possibly voting in the last 30 minutes after the percentages were shown

Let's say the bottom two on the graph was Ed and Ben, viewers would assume that Ben was the one on 32% and Ed would benefit from fans thinking he's in danger... while Ben supporters didn't feel the need to vote anymore

There's shock all over the place. All I can put it down to is eds family as well as that stupid surly date.

I think eds family is the answer for most of support and those who thought the surly date was cute pushed him over the line.

Eds family is going to make Ed the winner.

I really can't believe it.

1. It's vote to save, not vote to evict. Fatigue for saving Ben & Tim has set in
2. People were saving Tahan hoping that Ed would go and forgot about Ben
3. People either like Ben or hate Ben - the comedy act / fakeness / story on here did not help him
4. Ben can be creepy at times - even I cringed at him over the last few weeks. I can guarantee you that by the end of the show he would have not been in my Like list.

I think people forgot he was nominated and/or they assumed he'd get the most save votes like nearly every other week, so they didn't bother voting for him. I actually forgot about him (not that I would have voted anyway).

Ed's brother Nick has been promoting and pushing people to vote for his brother, advertising that someone that spends over $50 and proves it will win a date with Ed once he gets out.

I really think this is wrong, but there is nothing officially to stop it.

Ed's brother has also been rallying up to get votes of the likes of Karl stefanovoc and other personalities.

It was tweeted a while ago that if Ed wins BB, he will give his brother 50k, I guess that will only just cover his phone bill for keeping him in all this time.

I really wanted Ed gone tonight. DAMM IT.

I agree and disagree with you as this being a reason - I know that doesn't really make sense but the majority of Australia that votes is not Ed's family but can see where you are coming from. This is because of save votes. If the save vote system was not in place, this would not have happened.

Ed also has high profile people backing him publicly (several AFL players) and the previous housemates are seeming to get behind him more and more, Heidi, Xavier, Matt and Caleb have all said that they want Ed to stay and win. He also had the added bonus of having most of last nights show dedicated to Surly and himself and he was a dead set bet to be going this week which inspired his fans to keep voting harder for him.
Ben wasn't expected to go this week so his fans went soft thinking it would either be Drew or Ed. Unfortunately it seems that this was the eviction that fans chose to get complacent.

You know if those at bbhq are aware of this and since the voting was so very very close with Ben and Ed, they should have just said its time to go Ed anyway or tossed some votes on it themselves so Ben increased his vote, and Ed left.

I had the result spoiled on facebook before I watched the show. Clearly from the beginning of the show, it was obviously they were expecting Ben. So based on that I don't believe it was a last minute rush.

Ben's fans got complacent. Everyone thought Ed or Drew. That's all it was.

Also remember, Ben was often a really small part of the show due to him just doing his act for the cameras. Which the editors clearly got sick of including. Then he had a hands off approach with social interactions.

*His family has been voting for him a lot.

*There are others involved too - friends and accomplices constantly vote for him and him only.

*His fanbase, which isn't that big.

Ben's votes, as well as Tim and Tahan's were not being counted, the much of them, I heard. So if the producers listen to the complainers by counting some of the votes, maybe Ben will "Bree'd" with Ed getting the boot.

And for the complacent-sayers, well yes, some people didn't vote much for Ben knowing he is well safe. But why would his votes not be counted? For someone like Ben 16% is massively low -- How unfair and disgusting is that? You could tell he had a lot of save votes. Something must've been rigged.

And yet no one complained about Ed's votes not being counted - so obviously they were. If that is all true, then Ben SHOULD be PUT BACK with Ed being evicted.

Amen to that! Totally forgot about the Heidi, Caleb & Matt voters! Hence why Tahan also got a high vote.

Actually I would love to know how many votes was the difference between Ed and Ben as well they were on the same percentage but just a point difference.

Maybe I haven't mentioned it but EP, Producers, Production Crew and anyone associated with Big Brother are unable to vote.

It's in their contracts.
