I'm doing a little comparison of how housemates are portrayed on the daily show vs. live stream. Will come back and update every week.

Obviously this is my own opinion.

Sorry mobile users this table probably won't display well.

HousematePortrayed on daily showPortrayed on livestream
Abiola
  • Got an unfair edit on the daily show when she was upset at the family dinner. It made her look like she was overreacting, when in fact Holly and Colin had been ignoring her over an extended period.
  • Otherwise pretty chill and laid back.
  • Barely shown on livestream so far
Allana
  • Mum figure
  • Accurate to the daily show
Bruce
  • "Typical aussie bloke", although they have aired some of his views about women needing to stay in the kitchen and look after children.
  • His views are far more extreme than is shown on the daily show.
  • He's against gay people being parents, and he's said some transphobic things too.
Coco
  • No nonsense chick
  • Accurate to the daily show
  • She's far more left wing than has been shown on daily show
Colin
  • Aussie larrikin guy
  • Bewitched by Holly
  • Sensitive guy / "Emotionally intelligent" has been used on social media (even though that's not the correct use of the term)
  • Emotionally unstable - lots of highs and lows.
  • Has a temper and gets defensive very fast
  • There's been a few moments where he's gotten very aggressive and yelled at other housemates (notably the family dinner where he got drunk)
  • The other HMs have to use kid gloves and calm him down very frequently (eg. latest drama with Holly)
Connor
  • "The organiser"
  • There's been some mention of him being a bit particular about the kitchen etc.
  • Pretty accurate, but he's more bossy than is shown on daily show.
Edward
  • Pretty middle of the road guy
  • Pretty accurate to the daily show.
  • The latest drama with Holly has shown him to jump right into conflicts.
Emily
  • A bit aloof
  • Nothing particularly negative
  • She's not shown on the livestream at all, ever.
Holly
  • Stuck up model
  • Pretty accurate to the daily show
  • If anything we see more of her bad behaviour.
Jane
  • No nonsense anti-woke grandma
  • Probably has more centrist politics than has been suggested.
Mia
  • Aloof
  • Socially aware / potentially portrayed as "woke"
  • Pretty accurate to daily show
  • She speaks alot... like she can talk for 10 minutes non stop and this obviously gets edited out for TV.
Michael
  • Right wing / Pauline Hanson voting older guy
  • Pretty accurate to the daily show
Vinnie
  • The nice, young good looking guy
  • Far more calculating than has been portrayed on the daily show so far.
  • Perhaps the biggest game player in the house
  • Tried to organise the underwear boys to nominate Mia (almost succeeded).
