He's muscly not manly. He's a bit quite and not very intewresting. He's a bit wimpy really. Too nice. I like my men a bit gritty and rough around the edges!

Through the bars of the Divide, Tahan apologises to Heidi for putting her in the Halfway House.
"Don’t worry about it mate," Heidi assures her. "I laughed about it the next day. At the time it felt like the worst thing in the world because I had no control. Please don’t ruin your time because of that. It is what it is."
Jade and Ed share a kiss through the Divide. Jade is very nervous and Ed tries gives her words of encouragement, trying to pep her up. “I like that dress,” he tells her, whistling in appreciation.
I have thought all along that he might be gay or bi-sexual.

I don't think there has really been any basis other than he's too nice? I'm still convinced he's straight as he doesn't feature at all on my gaydar, and it's usually pretty well tuned.

It's just certain things he does that are typical "straight-acting-closet-inhabitant" behaviors. He has the motivation to be closeted, too, with the football background, God knows the AFL doesn't quite encourage it and if he came from a family like the football parents at my high school (which is apparently the biggest high school for drafting in Australia, Prince Alfred [aka Ed's former school] is pretty big, too) it probably wasn't exactly... an open environment.
Moving on from that completely speculated analysis of his past, it's just little things. Like I know he has this "gentleman" reputation but when we've seen him talking about the girls in the house to the guys in the house - from what I've seen/can recall, at least - he makes those general dismissive "mmm" and "yeah" noises. He doesn't seem to be interested in flirting or the girls in general.
Take Jade. Nine and the people in the house are trying to push them together, and maybe he's just not into her and that's all good. She might not have much of a personality but she's still an attractive, nice and smart girl. She's open about liking him and he knows she likes him. Tonight she flirted with him blatantly and he just changed the subject, basically, and tried to ignore it even when she pushed a little for him to acknowledge it. It just reinforced my thoughts.
Plus I thought he seemed a little too interested in Ben's "perfect man". Not that I think he'd be into Ben.

Edit to clarify: I know I'm probably wrong about everything and he's straight as an arrow, but as I said in a post a couple of nights ago - once I've thought something, I can't unthink it and I start to build up these crazy theories.
