Housemate #5 TULLY!

Being talked about does not equal success when you have most likely ruined your personal and home life, public image and career prospects in the process. Go Tully! It's not like people were talking about her beauty, or smarts, or integrity, or game play. They were talking about how she is a cheater, a manipulator, a gossip, and a psycho.

Agree with this. Whether you want to famous or not, you are more likely going to be the public joke, and all the hardwork will be overshadowed by the public perception

Infamy can still be a good thing. I assume she wants/wanted to be famous, and she hasn't done any that bad that no one would hire her.

Except:
Be untrustworthy
Regularly use emotional blackmail
Throw tantrums and/or crying fits
Have little regard for ethical boundaries
Clearly self-absorbed
Display habitual lying habit

I could go on. From what I've seen she also seems like a drinker with possible addictive tendencies (she was rarely seen without a wineglass in her hand and was possessive over alcohol).

You can find qualities in anyone that would deem them 'unhireable' if you look hard enough, and I don't agree with most of what you wrote in that list anyway. Also, lots of people in their 20s drink a lot. If she was bordering on alcoholism, she wouldn't have gone on Big Brother for fear of there not being enough alcohol.

She hooked up with a guy in a weird situation when she had a girlfriend, she cried a lot and she's a little paranoid. I reckon you may have padded that out a little and overlapped here and there.

The over emotional and paranoid bit probably describes a healthy slice of girlfriends in Australia and the hooking up with someone else .... what's the % in the most recent surveys? Something like 60% of Aussie men have cheated and 45% of women. (yeah yeah 87% of statistics are made up and 75% of people know that).

There should be a lot more job vacancies out there ....

Tully Smyth ‏@TullysmythBB 9h Cheshireau do you think Tully is coming out to anything she left behind? All of Australia are against her. She will struggle to get a job.

Very mature response there. Being yours must be called being in an open relationship.

What you may call it I cannot say. I would have thought that not getting a divorce every time a partner kisses somebody would be called a normal relationship.

She will struggle unless it's back room. No employer is going to put her out in front of clients for quite a while, nor have her name associated too publicly with their business.

While it's true that everyone has faults in Tully's case they have all been on view for everyone to see and she really hasn't projected a very positive image.

What Tully's friend says is not the be all and end all. I think she'll have plenty of job offers.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I tried to have a quick look through the forums before going to bed soon but it seems like the "I hate Tully" Facebook page has been removed. I wonder if the admin had a change of heart after watching her eviction interview? I have to admit she seemed so normal and actually pleasant to talk to while on stage - if she had remained that way while in the house then she could have gone a lot further. Actually, to be honest, the only reason I noticed the page is missing is because I was going to unlike it. I don't think I truly hate her now that she's out of the house, she was just so infuriating to watch while on TV.

Still, kudos for trending worldwide twice. I wonder if she thought in that moment it was because she's a unique special snowflake with incredible empathy. I'll be keeping my eyes on the news tomorrow.

I learned from her eviction interview...BB focus on Tully was for BB drama and ratings. Might as well hand Ben the $$$$ now. I am not a Tully fan b/c of the footage shown but her interview totally let on BB is manipulating what we see. Over BB and I want my Minutes (of my life) back, lol. I hope the remaining housemates have a Wonderful Experience and hope the HMs will be happy for Ben when he wins. Tahan is my fav HM but since I am in US and can't vote I'll check in in OCT to see who wins...er, hum Maybe?? peace

I kind of agree with this. Right now emotions are raw and only relate to the sensation of now. The future is a very faraway place atm and things can all change

total BB manipulation...there is no way the Tully we viewed could give such a calm, professional interview. The genuine Tully was the interview. I am not a fan of Tully's (the BB manipulation for the Drama Tully) but the Brotherhood should really consider and look beyond what they view and to vote accordingly. Ben was the most upset at Tully's eviction, even saying "Now I have No One" BB showed the housemates whinging about over the top Tully at Ben's eviction. Appears they had a genuine love for one another...shame on ya, BB. Tahan fan and hope she continues to do well in spite of the negative portrayal.

It's quite irritating how they manipulate certain things to convince the public of how a specific person acts. I wish it was genuine and accurate portrayals so people could base their opinions on the person, not by what they see.

You kiss other men while you're married? What does your husband think about that?

I actually agree with you - I don't personally think that it will affect her job offers but I dont know the social media strategist industry, or whether she wants to get into a different career.

I was just pointing out that her friend (presumably a good one since she was entrusted with running the account under Tully's name, so would have good insight into the situation) thought that how Tully is perceived is so bad that she wouldn't be able to get a job. I probably should have worded my post a bit better to indicate my point, but my writing skills are not so great at this hour (unfortunate since the reason I'm up so late is because I'm trying to meet a deadline).

WHAT?! That's the exact opposite of normal. Where do you live and what shows are you watching where married people kiss other people and it's considered normal? That's grounds for divorce.

I don't think Tully will have problems finding a job, especially since her exit interview was so articulate. However, she may have trouble finding a mate as they will always wonder if she's off hugging, kissing, getting under cover with someone else (which according to some is not cheating >;/ ?)

Tully fans may be you can give some votes to Tahan and Ed next time? Why let the Misfit control everything even though Tim or Ben will win anyways. I just want Tahan and Ed to make it far, though I know they will not win.

I agree that there is a lot of image manipulation, however there was enough evidence based on what we saw & other HMs comments to indicate she was definitely many of the things claimed. To what extent is a good question, but clearly to the extent that it was talked about a lot & other HMs felt she was overly emotional, negative, had to be the center of attention, etc. to the point of speaking to her about it. In fact, she herself admitted to her negativity in her interview & said she was working on it (good for her for finally admitting it). It's also not that unusual for people to have these character traits & then also be able to present themselves well. Hope that wasn't too negative for all those who think I'm a Tully hater (which I'm not). :)
