I can't stand Tully she is so selfish and fake! I don't believe she is even a real lesbian, I think she just does it so she can flirt with guys with out any consequences. Every thing she does is just a manipulation and it disturbs me that people actually choose to save her???? The sad thing is that there are people just like her outside of the house that see here as some kind of role model: It's frikin' CRAZY!!!!

She's not there to be a role model; she's there to play the game of Big Brother.

she is there to win BB just like everyone else. mostly the people who have won it had a sympathy thing going, remember Reggie, I dont want to go back to my life.

What do you mean? Are you saying that Ben won because people thought he was a good role model? (I wasn't into BB last year as much as I am this year.)
Nah. Anti-Benjamites kept throwing around how he was a bad role model for gay men. We tried to expalin like you just did with Tully that he wasn't in there to be a role model. He was in there to play Big Brother. No one listened.

And then he won. And oh how we laughed and toasted our victory! ;)

Ohh ok. Haha, I didn't like Ben but being a bad role model had nothing to do with it. I don't see why anyone would think that's relevant at all. None of the HMs this year would be good role models imo anyway.

Well, weather she/you likes it or not she is becoming a role mode for bad behavior: Showing that people actually support her selfish attitude and manipulative ways: Sad!

Are you kidding me? Do you really think people see Big Brother housemates as role models? Whenever I hear Big Brother mentioned in real life, there's always someone saying "they're just a bunch of stupid people in a house". Big Brother is for entertainment. That's why we all watch it; not to find the next Australian of the Year.

How we did indeed! :)

I think your both right. Some people will see them as role models (for reasons unknown to me - and that's not intended as a Tully dig) and others will do as you and I and just see it as entertainment. I agree that no HM goes in there for the purpose of being a role model .... It's just that some impressionable folk out there will treat them that way.

Yep. It's not the HM's problem if they're perceived as a role model. No one should be looking to Big Brother for someone to look up to. These are people that want at least 1 of 3 things: fame, money, and/or to further their careers (particularly in the media industry).

I agree with you 100% :)

After last nights episode, I will give Tully a tiny amount of credit for realizing she needs to stop being a softcock and start playing the game. We will see if she changes though.

Wow! I feel like I'm actually talking to Tully: What a load of crap of course people look at the the housemates as some kind of role models: Big Brother is social experiment every bit as much as it is entertainment and if someone does something in the house and it socially accepted then people will try to emulate that behavior in the real world.

I find it somewhat ironic that you haven't address the issue of Tully's attitude in the house prefer to brush it of as "just entertainment".

Yeah Big Brother is a social experiment to see what happens when you put a bunch of strangers in a house together and give them rules to follow and tasks to do. How do you follow on from that and come to the conclusion that the audience will want to be just like the HMs?

"I find it somewhat ironic that you haven't address the issue of Tully's attitude in the house prefer to brush it of as "just entertainment""
Because that's all it is.

You do realise that this bond is making Tully gain popularity right?

Obviously! I think she is making a very well calculated strategic move, and she is well aware of what she is doing and guess what.. Its probably going to keep her in there for quite some time, The public will eat the whole 'Lesbian falling for a guy' thing up and she will remain in the house because of it.

I believe she knows exactly what she is doing, well played Tully.

You are so naive:

Also I don't see any parallels between Ben of last year and Tully. Ben often did things with sense of humor (not unlike Tim) and there was (mostly) a grain of truth to everything he said. Tully is the complete opposite to that: Having no sense of humor and being quite mean when she says untrue things about people.

Honestly, I wouldn't have said anything about Tully if it wasn't for a bunch of lost souls beginning to support her, thinking shes the new Ben or Estelle (or even Tim): She is not and she doesn't deserve your somewhat misguide support: Kick her out of the house and support someone that actually deserves your support.

Where did you get the impression that I thought Tully was anything like Ben, Estelle or Tim? They're all completely separate individuals and I'm not comparing them.

Tully deserves my support just as much as anyone else in the house. Who do you think would be a better person to support?
