Housemate #2 - Tahan

I think that without Mikkayla there, Jade and Tahan would have a chance to spend enough one on one time together to actually talk.

A couple of things regarding the comment yesterday - Jade said herself that she was in the wrong for saying what she did. In no way would she ever have said that within Tahan's hearing. Like 99% of real people in the world, she said something to vent without literally meaning those words. Things that pop out of your mouth in moments of frustration in the real world, are forgotten and don't mean anything because you never once intended that person to hear.

What made this into some big 'thing' was the fact that Drew went dobbing to Tahan - not 'in passing' as the OS would have us believe, but with the deliberate attempt to stir shit.

I think Jade was genuinely sorry she'd said it, I think she was horrified that Tahan was told about it, and embarassed when asked in front of a group. I think she was hurt that her supposed 'friend' Drew did it to her. Given the chance I think she'd not make that comment again and I hope that she and Tahan sort it out.

I'm not blaming Tahan for the comment at all, I think it was hurtful to her.
I also know though that comments fly out of her mouth too without thinking a lot of the time, so she should perhaps try to understand how it could happen.

Mikkayla's over the top comments however form a pattern, not just a frustration thing, and I put her in an entirely different category..

Tahan thinks other people should not be bothered by what she says .. Tully and others had to talk to her about how what she says is rude. Tahan purposely pushes people away and jokes about them to be mean. She just doesn't like some people. But Jade just made an off the hand comment after being frustrated and then took it back. It's two different situations. If Jade had a history of doing this it would be one thing, but she doesn't. It's out of character for her. She's been lovely and just lost it for a minute. Where as Tahan has been constantly bad.

I agree Tahan wasn't even talking about them ... Mikka took it too far and Jade didn't know that. Jade is used to Tahan being rude to her friends so she just assumed Tahan was doing it again.

Jade & Tahan will be the final two girls standing, with Makkayla & ED out of the picture in the next few weeks I think they'll finally sought their issues out because they'll have to.

Yeah, I wish Tahan would sit down and say sorry for things or perhaps look at things in a different light. Jades problem with Tahan is that she feels that Tahan doesn't care who she steps on in order to win, whilst Jade doesn't ever want to think of wanting her closest friends out.

I can't help but feel sorry for all the socially inept people on here who have tried to claim that Mikkayla and Jade were not in the wrong. I am not exactly sure how you survive in this world. Jade's face when she was called out was all you needed to see to know she was serious. She could not make eye contact with Tahan. In fact, she was looking everywhere but at Tahan. Typically, the sign of someone trying to make bullshit up on the spot and back peddle their way out of a situation.

Mikkayla is the sort of person who gets off on being condescending. Just look at that face she pulls while she tries to stare Tahan down. Just admit that you are wrong for gods sake, instead of making some half-arsed argument about how the comment was taken out of context. Mikkayla, Jade, in what context does that comment not come off as incredibly juvenile and spiteful? Fools

Also, Tahan is fair game because she has said some bitchy things bout some people, and yet Mikkayla is off-limits even though she has done her fair share of bitching about people? Give me a break...

In what social situation is it acceptable to make the comments Jade and Mikkayla did? What setting. Joke or truth. Mikkayla keeps claiming it is a matter of context. I don't see the context in which that is acceptable.

As for your other statements about body language. I can also find a bunch of psychologists who would disagree with those interpretations. If you are going to be so selective in your analysis you can make a case for anything.

I know this is a forum and intellectual debate is encouraged but this is getting out of hand. All these comments and arguments are dominating multiple threads. Why can't we all just get along!? haha Jade's comment was nasty. True. Jade made a point to say she was joking seconds after making it. True. Tahan had every right to the offended. True. It's also impossible to tell if somebody is socially inept over the internet from a few posts. You either think way to highly of yourself or you're saying it to be annoying. Either way this is not a situation where it would be socially acceptable to call somebody socially inept. It's a forum about a tv show. And here are the insults because somebody disagrees with you. Rather than just saying your point or that you disagree you accuse and insult.

In pretty much every real life setting those comments are normal. As you can read in many threads these are actually normal conversations people have. I want to kill you ..... I'll knock her head off .... She needs to die ... and so on and so on. It's called normal venting. It's everywhere. Everybody knows about it and everybody knows nobody actually means it. She did try to run away from it by saying she didn't remember what she said or what topic she was talking about and if we replayed the video again you could actually see her face being like "i'm screwed how can I run away from the situation". At Least she realized what she said was wrong, thats why she couldn't explain herself since what she said was inexcusable.

That's ridiculous. She wasn't forced into apologising at all. Mikkayla didn't apologise so it would have been much easier for Jade to just agree with what Mikkayla was saying but she still apologised.

And I think Tahan needed to be reminded that when she called Lucy dumb with her "God help the children" comment she consistently denied saying what she did and went into backtrack central

I didn't like the comments last night either but I'm just so over the double standards.

I'm sorry but I don't live by the mentality of celebrating Tahan's nastiness but then condemning other housemates for theirs.

People looking up means that they are thinking harder than usual. That is a scientific fact, not the mumbo jumbo that comes from the mouths of psychologists. I will accept neuroscience in an argument... Psychology not so much.

She was lying because later on in the bedroon jade said tahan had basically the exact same words which jade had said so she was lying when she aaid she didnt remember

Mikkayla fans do the same thing calling Tahan's fans moron and cant comprehend a conversation tbh.

It seems they were also quick to judge the live feeds about burying someone.
The actual conversation was if Tahan died in a hole, Mikkayla would kick dirt over the hole (and bury her there).

Some people are really delusional in their defense of Tahan. Any sane person would realise it's what you said. My first thought on reading it was that it was related to nominations points, i.e. Jade hopes that Tahan gets buried at nominations.

Tahan would know she meant buried in terms of the game but undoubtedly Jade is her new target. Jade is alot more worldlier than Tahan and i'm sure she's dealt with even more bitchiness on Italy's next top model than even Tahan can dish out.

And in the end your left with one point, jade hates Tahan, so does mikk, we have seen the mikk/tahan relationship and can kind of understand what is happening there.

But why does Jade hate tahan? Rarely see them interact, nothing much ever between them - except Ed, and Tahan is smart and figured out Jade was a fake bride, and Tahan undermines Jade's gameplan.

Oh, and another thing to debate - occurred to me when I was away for a few days on hols & going swimming.
All those girls spend most of their day trying to emulate Tahan's skin tone; thus they mostly lay about.
Tahan is elsewhere, doing stuff, or sometimes sitting in the shade, or being naughty with Tim.

Tahan just makes them fell inferior by breathing, makes them look lazy. And there has always been a divide just from sunbaking.

They are all losing it in there, getting very edgy/claustrophobic, bet they want to scream and run out of there.
