Housemate #1 - Matt (Soldier)

I think the change in Matt is coming partly from Heidi being gone but also because like anyone else he can only hold back for so long. He had the initial excitement of the house and Caleb to keep him entertained and then last week was the battle of the bands schtick. Now that it's fairly quiet he has more time to think about/get pissed off about things.

It's going to be very interesting to see what happens with Matt if Ed goes as it seems he will this week. He'll be the last one left of the boy posse so I'm curious to see if he attempts to get closer to anyone else of if he just lone ranger's it until he's inevitably gone in the next week or two. If he starts to openly speak his mind more about Drully and picks well with his next buddy ie Tim or Jade then he might last a bit longer than he would've otherwise.
 
I think Matt is going to be the one leaving as nobody really cares about him.

Ed is getting a lot of hostility but that usually translates into votes and they will be votes that Matt doesn't have the fanbase to match or beat.

It's a bit sad really as Matt showed what looked like genuine compassion for both Jade and Tahan when they were in tears and he also seemed to be the only one to actually notice they needed comforting in the first place.

I think, if Ed went, Matt would realise whatever strategy he has in place at the moment is useless and he might throw caution to the wind and actually speak his mind like he did with Tully more often but it looks like it's going to be too late for him now.

Yeah I have the same concerns. I hope Ed goes but I worry its Matt. It was great to see Matt talk to Tully about things and it would be great if he would be more vocal in general on stuff. I know that he isn't childishly dramatic so wont get caught up in that bullshit but he needs to remember to add entertainment as well as 'getting on with his day'. On balance he just seems like a really nice guy to me.

That's what i like about him - the way he was comforting the girls. He's a sweetheart.

There seems to be a new bromance with Ed.

And unlike Ed, Matt is consistent with his relationships. He just strikes me as dependable, I think he will be around til the end.

But still intrigued to see what Matt is up to so appreciate the post. (Just not impressed by what he is up to!)

They're all a good looking. Ed in that totally unsexy Tom Cruise kind of way. Matt in that good looking puritan, vanilla Hillsong way. And Caleb in that sloppy, dopey, gropey kind of way.
Drew emerged as best in show, despite the smell (you KNOW it's bad!), including his personality in the early days.
But then we saw what a prick he was and no amount of soap can wash that sh^t out.
