HMs said that Jade is a girl with inside beauty

Well, it was more to do with Kxk's ridiculous notion that 'Smart people aren't stupid in love' that I found sad.

Yep Jade has to take responsibility just don't think that's a big enough reason for her to get the shit that she does.
I've seen people in love act like Jade all the time, they learn from it and move on.
It isn't anything new to me and I'd prefer to view something like that growing as a person.

Tell me about it lol. But we've all done that, well most of us anyway, and moved on from it. I just don't think Jade should count so much on having a man to validate her. It may have already been a pattern in her life even before Big Brother with previous relationships. If I could give Jade one piece of advice it'd be to learn to be self reliant and back herself. People eventually tire of someone who needs a lot of propping up.

I think she's a sweet heart, too bad she ruined it by latching onto ed :(

But like I said in another thread, they're paid to be there... they're paid to entertain us, she just wasn't entertaining

kxk is absolutely spot on. There's come a point when you have to grow as a person and realise there's more to the opposite sex (or same sex for gays whatever) than their looks. Jade is in her twenties, she's not some naive Year 10 girl having a crush on a school boy for the very first time. There's simply no excuse for the stupidity she's displaying in the house and being 'attractive' should not make people sympathetic for her shallow stupidity.

Well said and couldn't agree more. Her reactions to the questioning about if Ed became ugly was difficult to watch. She is shallow but tries desperately not to be. Anyone who cannot hold a convo about anything substantial puzzles me.

She would not listen - she would not listen to ED.

And no smart people do not behave like this.
1st - anyone saying they follow their heart in life = moron.
Your heart pumps blood, use your brain.
Love/lust/attraction are chemical reactions that happen in your brain.

To let your emotions rule your life is idiotic.

It seems that you do not have much experience in love.
Many General lost battles because of beautiful & attractive women. Many successful & rich women falls for young men.
Women normally feel emotionally attached with men after kissing & cuddling because of increases in oxytocin level. Google it

I agree with you 100%, but I'm still on the fence about Jade's motives. I can not fathom even the most sensitive or love-crazed person literally beg over and over and over again for someone to use them ON national television (Jade telling Ed while lying on couch during early days that it doesn't have to mean anything..just a bit of fun...jumping into bed with him while he pretends to sleep so he can ignore her...telling him she'll wait for him whether he likes it or not etc etc.).

Maybe she was trying to make the ex who dumped her jealous? Maybe she realized she had nothing to contribute to BB unless she was in a showmance? OR, maybe she was paid by BB to pursue Ed, hence the obsession? I'm super keen to find out what she meant when she told Ed that she would tell him on the outside, why she didn't care to win because of the impact on her career. All very fishy.

What also struck me as odd is how quickly she accepted that Ed wasn't that into her after all once she saw the clip. I get that a visual is more convincing, but still after the fatal attraction and obsession with Mr. mumbles, it was a quick turnaround. Something doesn't feel right about her. I do wish her well though in life.

Smart people do make dumb decisions and do dumb things in love all the time, to think otherwise is completely ridiculous.

Agreed.

there was more to it than that. Ed is a well grounded, stable, career orientated sort of guy, i think Jade also found this to be very attractive.
just a guess but maybe its not something she's had a lot of in her life/relationships before.

There are photos of her with her ex (although you can't see his face) driving expensive cars and seems to have quite the lifestyle. She did say she came back to Australia and is driving her old car when she was 18 and works at a bar now. It would be hard going from one lifestyle to another. She definitely wants stability in her life and with that I believe she wants the financial security too. I've always thought she wants a guy to save her from her life. That's my opinion of course

I don't see Jade's "inside beauty" as any greater than the others TBH.....

Drew, Tim, Tahan, and Boog....I feel have just as much IMO....

That's what I think exactly!

Just because the others don't appear to be as quiet or thoughtful, doesn't mean their inside beauty is non existent. They have all showed vulnerability and showed a caring side.

But after a couple of weeks?...that was the most pathetic performance by 2 people on tv and in real life I have seen....it was only a couple of weeks...and he only gave in the last 2 weeks....jade isn't stupid...she's used to getting a free ride... ed's the same I believe...their looks entitle them to get what they want.....and they are very determined about it...jade believes she's the prize...ed believes he's the prize....add to that.....they're both used to getting their own way ......both self serving to the extreme...in my opinion...jade does not deserve to win...she's done nothing but chase ed...and sunbake...hello self serving alert......equals boring

So Drew for the win then - considering he really fell in love, and Jade just targeted Ed and clung on?

And no smart people do not continue with dumb behaviour as adults, once they have lived through teen years and sentimental and romantic foolishness, they use their brains and seek out a suitable person to give affection to.

Maybe if you understand what happens to you when affections and attraction are involved you too can comprehend you can conduct your life as a thinking person -

I would agree that love can occasionally make people do stupid things, however, in Jade's case, it seems less about the person and more about the idea of being in love and having a warm body next to her. In Jade's intro, she mentions positioning pillows around her to feel like someone is next to her and that she'll hopefully find someone in the house to replace the pillows. She also goes on about hypothetical proposals. She reminds me of the girls that have everything planned for their wedding but don't even have a boyfriend. I don't think that's something to majorly fault her on as I've met a lot of girls like that, but being in love with the idea of love, and not the person, is never going to have great results. The fantasy will rarely match the reality.

Absolutely correct, if it weren't for those dumb decisions and things we do, we'd be perfect, in which case we wouldn't be here. Yes, neither on this board nor on this planet.

I think the argument here is that despite our weaknesses and shortcomings, we must work on becoming aware of them with the aim of avoiding those pitfalls in the future.

I fear Jade has not learned anything from her disappointing 'affair' with Ed.

Yes, they do.
Sorry but I don't need some link to see that.

Of course there is the obvious fact that Jade is not in love anyway, so none of this is at all relevant
