I will watch Common Sense but I have a bad feeling about it.
If the casting isn't spot on, I reckon it might just be full of people who a lot of us can't find any common ground. These people are extremely conservative, these are extremely left wing and so forth.
Here is the cast, and really most Australians are highly apathetic about politics and fall into a middle ground.
If we didn't have compulsory voting I reckon we would only get about 1/3 voting.
The apathy pisses me off.
Ever worked on voting days - is quite an eye opener.
Anyway here is the full cast, it is big and I think that is a good idea, they can then weed out any crap but also gives them scope to skip over some that don't provide much.
From heavy metal headbangers to lingerie shop owners and hairdressers: The people making 'sense of news' on Channel Ten's Gogglebox-inspired new series Common Sense
BRETT AND LAURENCE, REMOVALISTS, ABBOTSFORD, VICTORIA
Brett and Laurence are removalists and best friends, who bond over their love of the heavy metal band AC/DC.
The pair, who met at work a year ago, come across as lovable larrikins.
Brett hails from West Australia, while Laurence is originally from Wagga Wagga, NSW.
Kathy, 45, is a hairdresser who owns Sydney salon 'Valet', which Nikki, 31, manages.
They are of Greek heritage and both have children, but their approach to getting the news is quite different.
Kathy is a bit more traditional while Nikki prefers to read articles via social media.
LINGERIE SELLERS, MORNINGTON, VIC
Lois and Michelle-Ann are a mother-and-daughter duo with a passion for fashion.
The pair run their own lingerie and swimwear store, while Betty works for the store.
They also breed horses in their spare time.
RETIREES, KEYSBOROUGH, VICTORIA
Jean, Aileen and Ted are retirees, but don't let that fool you.
The trio - who live together in a retirement village - are up-to-date with the latest news headlines.
And they always make sure to follow anything Kardashian related.
THE YIP FAMILY: DARREN, TRUDY, EILEEN AND MATT, MARKET SELLERS, FLEMINGTON, NSW
The Yip family are of Chinese heritage, but they don't speak the language themselves.
They make a living selling vegetables at the markets.
ROBERT AND FRANK, BUSINESS PARTNERS, WOOLLAHRA, NSW
Longtime business partners Robert and Frank are described by Network Ten as 'fabulously posh' and 'witty.'
The pair have been friends for more than 40 years.
Robert, 70, owns a fashion store in Sydney while Frank, 74, is an adviser on urban spaces.
LUKE AND ERIC, BUTCHERS, GALSTON, NSW
Eric owns a butchery where Luke works, and are said to have a 'father-son' type relationship.
AYDEN AND JAKE, REAL ESTATE AGENTS, MORNINGTON, VICTORIA
According to Ten, the pair 'describe themselves as the real Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber.'
They became friends when they began work on the same day at a Victorian real estate agency 18 months ago.
STEVE AND ANDRE, MARKETING CONSULTANTS, SYDNEY, NSW
Steve and Andre met when they played a DJ set together more than 30 years ago.
They've since gone into marketing, and remained friends along the way.
HELEN AND SARAH, TECH CREATIVES, DOCKLANDS, VICTORIA
Helen works for Sarah's tech company which encourages women to 'create start-ups' and 'build more of the internet'.
The colleagues are obviously tech savvy, and prefer getting their news online.
Foxtel and Ten have jointly commissioned Common Sense, which sees 'real people' weighing in on TV news and current affairs.
'We'll be covering the headlines everyone is talking about to the more obscure stories viewers might have missed,' executive producer David McDonald told
News Corp.
