Oh Emm Gee! This year has been sooo busy. Kids back to school with a packed out schedule. Can't wait for a few days over Easter to try & catch up on everything.

Is Vikings a History channel show? So is it like a documentary?

I'm loving the fact that Easter is not inside school holidays this year. I don't know what it's like for a parent, but not having holidays being absorbed in school holidays is good by my books. Extra holidays for the win!

Heya peeps

Life has been super busy for me but very satisfying and challenging

Unfortunately tragedy struck yesterday.

A few weeks ago my iPad fell out of its case as I was carrying it from the car, it made some small cracks only on the bezel. I could live with that. Yesterday I picked the iPad up by the same corner and the crack extended right through the middle of the screen. This morning a few more cracks appeared. It's slowly falling apart. It could be serendipitous though, as Apple are rumoured to be announcing a new iPad Air and smaller screen iPhone in a few days time so it might be time for an upgrade.

@mutleyp could I at least have a clue about the celeb you were spotted dining with? Haha.

Oh no! Great to hear you are so well but my condolences for the iPad. Mine has seen better days and is rocking some cracks too, I just don't know if I can justify buying one, and if I'm honest I'm not sure I can be bothered going through the whole process. You, however, totally should!

I am seriously loving the early Easter this year. Like you, I get extra holidays which is (almost) always good, plus through some terrible twist I usually have to celebrate Easter, Passover AND Orthodox Easter so it's good spreading it out just for my energy levels, I'm sure I'll still be just as drained by the end of this all though.

Given that I am nudging closer and closer towards 50, I have had to begrudgingly accept in order for me to see patients buzzers clearly, and to see medication orders, I need two sets of glasses, so bifocals it is.

We are in the middle of a Shameless-athon. It is a brilliant show. We have binge watched 3 seasons, and are heading to our fourth.

Kinda yes, kinda no. We don't have the History channel, so not sure what else it has. It is meant to pick some true historical facts, plus miss mash a few in there for affect & run with it. I don't really know that much about Viking history, so can't get upset if they aren't being realistic. I started watching it after game of thrones, and to be honest, they seemed similar, but most of the graphic violence/hardcore nudie time was implied rather than in your face like GoT. That being said, as the seasons go on, they are getting a bit more nitty gritty, but Í love them now, so it's ok

I am about to embark on a well deserved day off, and quite frankly I need it! I have been under some stress at work. I know the word has lost some of its power due to constantly being misused, but I think I am being bullied by a nurse at work. The reason I am thinking it is actually bullying is because her constant targeting of me actually left me crying alone in the work toilets, and that is never an appropriate response to work interactions.

It has been going on for two years and it started when she didn't report a patient falling. When a patient has an unwitnessed fall, there is a time consuming process that must be followed, and it starts with 15 min neuro obs, millions of forms and a PRIME. The patient told the AIN, and the AIN told me, and after speaking to the patient and his wife, I was left with no choice but to update the CNC to follow it up, and the grudge was born.

On Monday her nastiness towards me got to the point it made me cry with sadness, and Tuesday morning I decided enough was enough. Now I have to work out the most effective way to try and build a bridge and move forward.

I remember you sharing that your boss and many co workers are against you, and that you have to edit your friends settings on facebook to ensure you censor the parts of your life you don't want your facebook friends to see and you are "cursed" and I guess that is where we differ greatly. My life is pretty much drama free. I get great feedback from my boss, I am well liked by my co workers - in fact we are out to dinner in Ocean St Friday night, and I have never adopted a victimised persona when I come up against challenges or opinions I don't like. My facebook is made up of actual friends, work friends, forum friends, all friends, no censoring needed. The only portion of my life where I am viewed negatively by a very small majority, given that there are only a handful of people left, is here.

So my little indignant "BULLY STALKER" squealing fiend, I guess the big question I need to ask myself is why do I continue to irritate myself by logging back in despite the fact the joy and fun is long gone?

You do get that a Hospital has many, many staff, not just nurses. So for Trala to have just one personality clash amongst the masses says what a great person and amazing nurse she is. Also, the fact that the person causing her the angst only started it when she got caught out not following proper procedures, speaks volumes to me.
