General O/T Chit Chat Thread

Just saw 'Hail, Caesar'. A slightly odd film. Didn't feel finished. Tilda Swinton in both roles was excellent. I don't get Channing Tatum. He's in the same category for me as Ryan Gosling and Johnny Depp. Anyway, there were quite a few laughs throughout and I love that 50s era of Hollywood. A brilliant house on the beach. I want it. Probably just a set and not real.

I really don't understand how any other persons relationship works, with hiding the truth. I just don't get it, and that is just my opinion. Maybe I am wrong and well, if so - OK.
It just reminds me of people who hide shoes and clothes etc from your Partner, when you have purchased them with your own earned dollars. It just doesn't gel with my understanding of a life with a partner. I don't understand why it has to be hidden and why not share the experience? Like something more to chat about?

I just don't get it. Not judging your relationship, I just don't understand how you can hold a secret like that, from who you love and not trust he would be supportive of you, for doing what you do. I mean, he loves you wrinkles and bumps and all, so why not let him into this secret part of your life?
 
Bloody hot night at work tonight. I think everyone 50klms from here, didn't want to cook tonight! Great for business :)

I was so clumsy tonight, dropped cutlery everywhere - 3 times! So loud on floorboards and was so embarrased :( Took too much time to rewash them, I was in a flap! Not my usual way at work :( even the Chef was losing his shit tonight!

Anyway, tommorrow is another day! Bring it orrrnnnnnnn

PS ......... That Skank that entered my home a few weeks ago .... well, she came into work tonight to buy some Coke (Bottled) ......... and I will tell you all , she has not had a hit of her ICE for a couple of days! I was really scared seeing her, but I know I looked different to when she came here. She did not seem the recognise me. She had a fullon shitty attitude though.

I now know she lives in town, and next time she comes in, I will be better prepared and take her Pic on a phone and have it sent to the cops. Bitch!

Those Orange Sweet Spuds, need Caramelisation ;0 Roast with Olive Oil S&p awesome!
I do like mushrooms - but it is a bit hard to put that one up there as my Fav ...........
They need to be fried in butter and seasoned and only be Portobella :) Oh and also cooked in a pan with steak juices!

Spuds I LOVE (deb is a mashed potato)
Snap Peas or even Sugar Peas are Awesome
LOVE Corn on da Cob - Yummo
Cabbage in a Salad :)
Crunchy Lettuce
Asparugus
Spinach

So, what about Fruit?

TOMATO I LOVE, with cheese and red onion!
AVOCARDO with Vegemite!
Nectarines YUM
OLIVES
Apples have to be crunchy

Agreed - caramelisation is a must, that's why they taste so bad from the microwave.. I only found out recently that their nutritional value changes once cooked?! They become way more unhealthy once they're heated up... so weird.

Nice choices for veges - sugar snap peas would be my pick there. Avocado and vegemite? What da hell.. I'll have to try it. The only one food OCD I have is every time I eat tomato, it HAS to have s&p on it.

My weird food fetish is the stalk of broccoli - I peel it and eat it raw :)[DOUBLEPOST=1456596663][/DOUBLEPOST]

Totally peeved off! My Panasonic Convection Oven has died! Now I have a Stupid Westinghouse, I get hotter than you dial Oven - to do the duty!

It made the best food :(

That's the thing. You don't have to understand it, because it is my relationship, not yours.

If it helps, I don't understand why you continue to stay in a relationship that you have shared has been over for the two years you have been posting here.

I don't tell him because it is my own private choice. It is my body and I can do what I want to it, and share it with who I want.

You keep saying you're not judging my relationship, but you are, and that's okay. That's what we do as people.
 
Good Moanin OT thread!

After my partner finishes golf today we will be in full Reno mode.

My partner is a clever man, and has decided to build sort of a kitchenette type thingy around our BBQ for when we entertain. So I decided to break up the white tiled backdrop with a few pop in colour single tiles, just to make it fun.

Deliberately miss placing 9 single tiles on a white tiled area is much said than done!

I hope it works!

Pisshornin!

So funny! Just watching the news and a reporter is standing at the spit at Mooloolaba reporting on the idiots who continued to swim despite the beach being closed yesterday.

"...there have been a range of injuries reported, from a dislocated shoulder to a blah blah...." . Then they pan to the ambos stretchering what looks to be my stupid surfer son in the back of the bus!!!

He really is, and he is completely self taught.

Last week he had a builder mate come round to check out his frame work, and after close inspection he was told to take it down and start again, which he did. As you saw, the frame is so sturdy now! He used the hardwood from the original small deck that was around the pegola.

He will be stupidly stoked I am sure.

He is such a water baby. Personally I don't get the love of swimming in the ocean. While I love walking beside it, and I love to watch it, I hate to swim in it.

You know it really is. While we have always been happy with our lot, we have never been happier since buying the house. We lay in bed daydreaming about all the things we will do to it.

Have I ever showed you his man cave now it's finished?! He converted the granny flat into a man area. It looks awesome!

Not my cuppa tea. I prefer honesty. Might not work in the ticktock day - but in the long run

I just don't get that. I suppose that is the way to have an awesome relationship .............

I'm with you on the avocado and vegemite. The caf at my work does a great guacamole so it's extra good with vegemite on toast.
 
Meh... every relationship is different, it's up to the people actually in the relationship to determine the rules really, that's what will make it successful or not. I learnt a long time ago not to compare myself to other relationships because everyone is so different and we rarely have the full picture anyway
- some I look at and think I'd shoot myself if I was in but they actually seem happy despite my own objections.

Actually this applies to all relationships not just romantic ones - what works for some won't work for others. I am pretty open with my family with most things and I know my girlfriend finds it really weird some of the stuff we talk about, but I find it weird how she never really tells her family much, but both these things are just normal for each of us and neither is necessarily wrong or right.
