Well look at that... You're back! You survived work ok? The accountant I worked for begged me back but I just could not do it. I was only admin so I don't know how he does it. He has booked himself a 8 week holiday lol

Thanks to you both. I think my dad is on this, but it might be too early/chaotic at this stage, or at least she hasn't registered herself as safe yet if that's how it works. I haven't heard anything yet but hopefully will soon.
 
first time ever I went to the dentist and came out without paying a cent :)
full check up, 360 degree xrays, cleaning and fluoride treatment ... $274 for $0 :) For once - totally painless dentistry!!! (ie no pain in hip pocket!!)

gotta love it when your health fund opens up a dental clinic - they've also got an eye clinic so that'll be the next freebie checkup ... unfortunately will still have to pay a motza for the specs but already picked out new frames today whilst waiting to go in to dentist ...

came home to the news of the Paris attacks - had been in total oblivious news-free bubble all morning!

started Christmas shopping at the Sheridan outlet ... 40% sale PLUS they signed me up as a VIP for 25% off (ummm not sure you're meant to sign people up for INSTANT 25% off - usually its for the next visit - to get them to come back again ... but ok I'll enjoy the extra $30 saving thank YOU very much ... 2 nice new beach towels for the boys and one set of towels, bath mats and hand towels for us :)

not home long and husband announced he was off to Recollections (they're now called Early Settler? or some such) so I said I'd go along too ... its raining here - any excuse to get out of the house really! Ordered new towel rail for bathroom ... whilst I was browsing around homewares and furniture (because towel rail ordering is pretty boring and mundane when you can browse through lots of STUFF most of which you don't need/want but its just fun to browse anyway!!) saw they also have little wire birdies - but more rustic ... ie rust coloured wire, rough texture ... 2 sizes ... $6.99 and $9.99 I think ... anyone looking for those birdies that's another place to take a look at.

home for another hour and off again to Bunnings ... bought a pizza oven thing for on top of bbq ...

merry christmas husband of mine - I'm looking forward to some yummy pizzas and easy throw together dinners :)
(there is method in my madness!);)

now need to sort through linen cupboard under the stairs to do a bit of throwing out ... this wet weather really is the pits ... I feel like having a nice long snooze or curling up with a book but there's stuff to get done here!

My flatmate was due to fly to Paris this morning (from Germany). Borders are closed... What the hell... France's borders closed??! Has this ever happened before? What madness the world creates. It does my head in.
