Be my luck I'd duck out for a coffee then they arrive and couldn't come back for weeks! catching up on so much stuff that I should of done ages ago though!

Yeah it's too risky. I need to catch your productivity. It's taken me all day to do a load of washing (I have around 3 more to do) and go to the bank.

To be fair lots of mine involved power tools, and well I do that just for fun haha[DOUBLEPOST=1447213975][/DOUBLEPOST]
Have you down graded from your triple+double shots yet?

I have one a day if Im lucky!

They have 30 mins left in their time line.... lets see

Are we placing bets? I'm going with - They get there at 4pm, do half whats needed & have to come back tomoz, but promise to be there first thing, which will either be 6.30am or 11am (depending on their mood :P)

What a flurry, I sold some stuff on a local site while I was waiting, so they came at the same time, fixed in 5 mins and I made money!

ok so I admit I'm a sucker for Christmas decorations ... and sometimes the more kitschy the better ...:redface:

but I ask you ... $32 for ONE of these? (and I'm not convinced "ONE" is the set of two and not actually only ONE (reduced I might add from $39!)
they're acrylic and probably sourced from Asia @ 50c a pop!

don't hate me for my Christmas kitschiness!!!

Oh Crimmy my mum could knit those in 5 min!

Was bit awkward one of the buyers thought what I was selling was plastic, but it was terracotta so she was happy, got a bargain, but I asked if she wanted me to help her take it out as its a bit heavy, she said "Yes please I only have one leg"....

Naaaw, you are soo good :) Hope she's got help the other end to get it out of the car tho!

I could probably do them in an hour or so since they require 4 double pointed needles and I have never tried that before ... so there'd be some tantrum throwing whilst I worked out how to do it ... I've never knitted socks before (but have been using my work time brilliantly and downloaded a few freebie patterns already!)
and that's why I could never bring myself to pay that much for something I know even for me would only cost $2 for the yarn ... plus if I was doing it for extended family Christmas and everyone was turning up I'd have to knit 2 dozen of them (plus a few more for the "just in case" scenarios ... which is fine as long as I started early ...

Hey just popped in quickly while I'm on my lunch break.... I logged in last night and meant to post a debrief, but I was so exhausted I could barely even think.
@Trala totally agree about either needing to pee or being thirsty, the only thing that is worst is when it happens at the same time.... Which seems to happen a lot!
Day three now and I now know the residents names and know each residents routine.... Kind of don't want this week to finish.
Thank you for the advice, been washing my hands like crazy and now they are a bit dry... Mental not: need to buy some hand moisturizer.
I'll come back on the weekend, between workplacment and actual work I am exhausted... Not time for BBB.... Nice to see people chit chatting away tho... Oh and just one more thing, can't stand K mart, much prefer Target.

Peace out bitches.

Good for you.

I completely agree with your comment that it is nice to see people chit chatting away. It was one of the things I missed most about this thread. The mundane, everyday chit chat among friends.

You have proved that magic doesn't happen and wishes don't come true. You have been proactive in seeking opportunity where you can, and you have taken control over your education which is going to have a positive knock on affect when it comes to your employment future and choice. It makes me so happy to hear your reality is full. At your young age you need to be living life and making friends and memories. I feel so proud of you and all you have achieved. You should buy yourself a token, whether it be a ring, or a bangle or a necklace so you have it as a constant reminder of how you conquered the obstacles of the past year and came through it not only stronger in character, but smiling and embracing life. I love strong and proactive people. You make my heart sing.
