I can never unsmell decomposing bodies. Smelled several of them wafting through the ambulance bay doors when they came in to be certified. I can't stand sputum and vomit either. Thankfully I no longer work in a patient area but we still see and hear things around the place.
@Inigo Montoya, all the best for your placement. You will be fine. Have faith. @Trala and @mutleyp and any other nurse on here, you haven't chosen an easy profession. You done good.

Uggh.

Thankfully I have never seen let alone smelled a decomposing body!

Thanks for the compliment. I really do love my job, even when I hate it!

If "With courier for delivery today" isn't one of the most euphoric sentences ever I don't know what is!
I was sorting my emails last and found a receipt for a LBD I had completely forgotten buying. This lead to an apifanny, I don't need any more clothes!! I am not buying not one more item of clothing until autumn.

That is my pledge.

Every job will have hate filled moments.
A doctor would always have to go out and certify a body as being deceased if they came in. It was a cursory look more than anything and to sign the paperwork for legal reasons. I'd sometimes go out with them for a respectful but curious look and to hold the bay doors open. Occasionally, we'd go through the doors, be assaulted by the smell, turn around and walk back inside without viewing the body. Respect to the retrievers and transporters of bodies. It's not at all pleasant.

Good morning Tra and Mutz.
Glorious day (here at least, how is it for you?), went for a 6am walk.
Nice rainy unmotivated day here.

I too have brolly'ed up and walked by boys. I woke up to a deboweled toilet roll that had been spread from one end of the house to the other, so it is safe to say Frank is feeling better...

Got a bit on this morning then I am committing to finish Season 3 of Sons of Anarchy.
