Never again
Well I am trying to translate Reepbot... I think that is the correct translation.
I usually associate tailors with rich people. Though of course for me anyone who owns a suit is rich lol.

Almost no member got what they signed up for, privacy-wise following the hack and outage, and administrators are sending a great big message that storing and using everyone's hacked email address data is to be addressed with...Only posted during BB seasons and came back to see if Tim (Dormer) had posted about his Apprentice experiences.
Then I came across this thread.
Correct me if I am wrong Witty Banter. The way I see it you are asking a simple question. If the rules and regulations state such actions result in a ban, is the person who contravened them to be banned or not?
I think its a valid question that is not receiving an answer. I am guessing Witty would like to know, as I imagine most would want to know, what the status quo is in regards to such incidents. The question demands a black or white answer because it will forever determine the future direction of this forum. The words "open slather" come to mind if this is ruled upon as permissable. But then at least members will know the parameters. And they can choose to accept this and stay or leave as a result.
Not knowing any of the principals involved (Mutley and Witty), their history or any preceding events has no bearing to me. I would like an answer too.
A forum condoning that behaviour would be one that I would be wary of. Others I am sure would be ok with it. I think Witty has stated that he just wants an adjudication and then everyone can get on. I dont think Witty wants to leave but would just like to know what forum he inhabits and which rules of the game are actually applied. As I would think most of us would like to know. Especially us extremely part time members. It alters ones perception of whether a forum is worth visiting if you feel uncomfortable. You dont come here to feel suspicious or paranoid or melancholy do you? I know I dont.
And I think someone asked of witty why he kept repeating his question and why would he want to be here if people dont like him. I dont think the popularity contest part is a concern for Witty at all.
I think its clear. Witty would like to know what kind of forum he or she inhabits and what the parameters are and then make an informed decision as to whether he or she would be comfortable in staying. Perfectly reasonable I would have thought.
I think it is wrong that Witty keeps asking the question and is rebuked for his repetition. He wants a simple answer.
And clearly feels aggrieved. And when you feel you have been wronged, you want at least your day in court. And you fight for it. Especially when the law(rules/regulations of forum) is on your side.
That went on far longer than I intended. I hope for a resolution.
Apologies for the long-winded intrusion.

retrospective reporting. Spaghetti, get back in your can.
I think you have options and I chose to see how Mutley operated. There are stories, so experiencing it yourself is educating. I think letting others see how he operates is more important than my privacy, and also exactly where moderation stands on threats to use the hacked member data.Personally, I believe most posters here have been around the block more than a few times, and realise everything put out there stays there, and pretty much available to anyone.
And it's not retrospective reporting if you had of reported it as soon as you saw it, then it may have been removed before too many saw it. But I get the impression that that wouldn't be acceptable to you either. But I don't think it's any mods or administrators job to get involved in personal disputes. Remove it when it's reported and move on.
Oh, okay, so this is part of some weird game then.I think you have options and I chose to see how Mutley operated. There are stories, so experiencing it yourself is educating.
That's a fair question. I'd rather Mutley employ his dirt games on me than others, yes. I had zero idea Mutley would post my name when I suggested reepbot not say a member ate a chocolate spud.Oh, okay, so this is part of some weird game then.
To each their own.
I would personally hate it if my real name got posted here. Infact I have a strong suspicion that if mutley did know my real name he would have posted it instead of Witty's.

Well thats intriguing. Why do you prefer he target you?!?That's a fair question. I'd rather Mutley employ his dirt games on me than others, yes. I had zero idea Mutley would post my name when I suggested reepbot not say a member ate a chocolate spud.
They're probably the same person anyway. LOLWell thats intriguing. Why do you prefer he target you?!?
Because there is a pretty strong correlation between being disliked by Mutley and leaving.Well thats intriguing. Why do you prefer he target you?!?
Oooh how funny. Why did reepbot say that anyway?Well, it wasn't a question. And I read before the edited bit.
People who act all noble usually have a stick up their arse. Not saying anyone does.

Is there? Wow. The Power Games. Very Interesting. Its like a mini cyber game of Big Brother.Because there is a pretty strong correlation between being disliked by Mutley and leaving.
And people who act all ignorant usually give their unsolicited opinions to events they have little knowledge of. Not saying anyone does.
God give me strength. Will this ever end.
Maybe I'm wrong though and you'll point me to where it says Mutley must be banned but I'm pretty sure it's just what some people want. I didn't even know this place had written rules let alone somewhere where it itemised applicable penalties. Pretty sure it's always been moderator's discretion and they've used their discretion so question answer. Can we move on now?
Probably not so at least I've have something to read on my break tomorrow. For now though good night all, sleep well, and think of bans. xo
