Haha aw ok well maybe you can be the one who finally helps me get over this.

I currently have zero pets
You should get an axolotl! They don't bark and are quite low maintenance.
I had two, one passed this year unfortunately but the remaining guy is 10 this year.

Oh sorry for the loss. They actually are pretty cute but as a rule I'm slightly terrified of ocean life. Low maintenance is good though!

Hey @tess ! I've been wondering how you're doing? I'm great. Are you still living in the Sunshine state?

Yep still here. I'm good now. Don't freak out but I had cervical cancer. I only had stage 1b luckily. I had an op in June and they are confident they got it all. I didn't have to have chemo or radiation treatment. Phew! I was scared of that more than having the op. I gotta go to the hos every three months for two years to get checked. Can you ad me to your prayer list please? xoxoxoxoxo

Done. Good that they got it. Yes, chemo isn't pleasant, however, it's a means to an end, so if you do have to have it, it's will be to make you really well in the long run. You will be fine. Have faith.

I'll let you in on a little secret - you and some others on here are already on my prayer list. But I will ramp it up. So pleased they caught it early. Blessings

Who can recommend a stovetop espresso maker? What's a good make? And a cute design. And not too expensive!

Do you have a gas stove? Moka pots are easiest to use on a gas stove and are ok on electric stove but if you've got induction you'll need a special model. They're usually made from aluminium but you can get stainless steel ones these days. There's a bit of an argument over which is better as some people say aluminum isn't good for your health but I think that's a load of crap. My abuela had the same pot for over 50 years and used it daily to no ill effect. Plus I think the coffee tastes better with an aluminium pot.

So I'd recommend if you're looking for a good moka pot you can't go past a bialetti - they are the original after all, plus their design is iconic. Price wise I'm not entirely sure for where you are but I know you can pick them up for about 20 euros in Spain depending on the size.

I must confess that's a random axxie pic.
My axies aren't nearly as photogenic

@jessy_girl I get that, I mean sharks live in the ocean!

And yet strangely sharks seem ok with me. I probably wouldn't want to come face to face with one, but sitting here on dry land the idea of a shark scares me less than that of a whale or a giant squid.
