Oh this where our similarities end as I have very fine and dry hair. I have this really bad habit of washing my hair at night and going to bed with unbrushed wet hair and then I wake up with a massive birds nest.
Lol. We can't be the same in everything.

Sometimes (actually often) I wish my hair was finer. It's so boofy - it grows out instead of down.

Haha, sure. I guess I like saying "dark mousey brown" because it sounds more exciting than just regular dark-ish brown.

:jawdrop:

I think dark brown could be exciting if you use some imagination. Although hair isn't really that exciting. Living under the sea would be exciting. I mean what kind of shampoo would you use if you lived under the sea?

I always kinda thought conditioner was a bit of scam to make us buy 2 things.

Even I manage to condition. The aforementioned birds best would have to get chopped off it not.

I just remembered I have a little show bag of sorts of hair products, I must see if there's anything in there for my precious follicles.

No conditioner is so important.

I have a really long and weird hair washing process...

First put the shampoo in and leave in it for 5 minutes (usually shave my legs while I'm waiting) then I wash it out, towel dry my hair, add the conditioner or treatment, leave that in for 10-30 minutes then wash it out.
I should add that I wash my hair every 4-6 days.

Yeah, as @Inigo Montoya said conditioner really is important. I'm not sure about technical, scientific terminology, but shampoo is the thing that "opens up" your hair to whatever and then conditioner "closes it" again. Does that make sense? Probably not, haha, but I dunno, it was explained to me by my hairdresser friend once and I was only half paying attention. But yeah, it's definitely important!

Haha I've no idea what opens up and closes in hair but I'll take your word for it ;)

All this shampooing and conditioning sounds like some type of hair surgery.

Shampoo: Alright, conditioner, time for you to step up.

Conditioner: If I don't make it, tell my wife I love her.

Shampoo: Whatever, just do it.

Lol. Thanks for the edumacation. I will give it a go only washing every other day and conditioning. I doubt conditioning can stop the boof. It's pretty thick. But I'm happy to try.

I'm sure ☠ Garnier Fructis ☠ has an anti-frizz/sleek type conditioner. If you want flatter hair you need a heavier conditioner or even a leave in might work. Dry your hair a bit before you put the conditioner on, you want your hair to be damp not soaking wet. I always rinse my conditioner out with cold water too.

What an interesting discussion - always good to know the best way to manage our locks.

I had my first hair trim in 2.5 years today! Pretty slack eh? I am trying to see how long I can grow it!

I wash and deep condition once a week. I put in leave in conditioner and sometimes use Oil of Marrakesh.

I had coloured my hair, since I was 14. It was costing me $150 every 4 weeks in the end and all I was doing was making my greys a yellow blonde! Anyway, I am natural now and I am lucky to have grey hair that is like platinum blonde - very fine, but a lot of it!

I get my hair dyed once or twice a year. My natural colour is ash blonde and the regrowth just blends really well with the white ish blonde foils.
When I get older and start to go grey I am going to embrace it.

Haha. I like the fruity smell of Fructis :)

Yeah I've seen that before (anti frizz) I think I kinda have weird hair cause I would really describe it as frizzy. Boofy is the best word I can think of - maybe I should try anti frizz anyway.

Wow you guys are so high maintenance with your hairs! Well not bleachy obviously.

I guess I can't complain about my sad looking hair since I don't actually do anything to rectify the situation.

I'm more low maintenance with my hair because of the end of the day it's just hair. Although my hair is awesome, and you don't meddle with awesomenesses.

Good Girl!
Once I decided to go dark, many years ago - The light regrowth was the WORST, although the dark hair colour suited me ....... sometimes I used to buy marcara to cover it lol
