Lentils all the way. I love them. And Adzuki beans.

Same! Actually looking up lentils soup recipes ATM.

They do polarize! I'm a nerd, so looked at their nutritional values and taught myself to like them. Disguise their taste with turmeric, curry powder or paste.

Don't you also need meat for nutritional value? Or is there like some meat substitute you can get?
I'm not convinced men need much iron....I lived remotely once on canned food with no red meat for months. Protein-wise eggs, lentils/beans, tofu, mushrooms are high.

JESSY!!!

Where have you been? Have you got a note from your mother?

Haha.... Typical Jessy_girl.....

And where have you been latley?

I know, I'm sorry, I dropped off the radar for a bit but I'm back!

I guess I just knew Inigo would be talking about some horrible food as I happened to come back just as that was posted.

That doesn't sound very nice. I'd much rather eat meat. But I say credit to anyone who can stick to a diet.

What would be the purpose of eating fish but no other meat?

I think it's probably a question of ethics; or perhaps a questionable, rather confused, question of ethics. Some people object to the cruelty involved in the farming, transportation and slaughter of land animals and perhaps feel that fish enjoy a better quality of life and death. Longline fishing and netting would really debunk that theory, though, I think. The eating of shellfish is probably more defensible. Shellfish don't have a nervous system that can register pain, but they should certainly be farmed and harvested in such a way that does no harm to other organisms or to the environment.
