Remember when Foxtel/Austar advertised that they had less ads than Free TV and they were actually delivering on that promise? I remember there being very few ads - those were the days.

Sadly, no more.

I remember when foxtel had no ads at all back when it first came out.

I do love foxtel, but sadly I don't have it myself which honestly is only good for my productivity levels, I watch enough crap as it is. I really want it though!

Goodmorning OT mad house!

I had the best night at work!

I really do have such a great job. Never a dull moment that's for sure!

How's this?! Thanks to Fitbit I have discovered, even when I think I have had a bad night sleep, when I look at the saved data, it's not so bad!

That's really good.

Am I doing something wrong? I just never record a good nights sleep even if I feel like I had a decent one and gave my self a sleep in (like last night)

Again, I went to bed too late. But even so, the quality of sleep should still be ok?

Ok Im having an issue, I went for a 10km run this morning (and smashed my new phone screen in the process... don't even talk to me about it) BUT my run keeper tracked me at 10.74km using GPS but my fitbit only tracked 8.6km... so Im not sure

Yesterday they were exactly the same, but today I found my fitbit didn't move for ages to the next light, so Im assuming something wasn't being detected for the first few kms

I don't have Foxtel, I cancelled it a few years, I got annoyed that the price kept going as as did the amount of ads... but I do have netflix and Hulu. Looking forward to getting in to some good series over summer whilst nothing else is on FTA TV.

Yeah we're renovating and moving the TV now we've taken a wall out and I said to hubs don't bother moving the foxtel plug, may as well get it cut off and get Netflix, the $80 a month spare will be plenty to get extra GB on our Internet plan

I've been trying to get my parents to understand just this, but they seem to be very confused and almost offended by getting an actual choice when it comes to what you want to watch.

Foxtel is the biggest joke these days though. Ad free in the beginning, and now it's basically all ads. Mess.

How does netflix work? And can you watch all the tv shows that you see on foxtel?

I don't actually have Netflix, but from what I understand, you pay a monthly subscription (it's like, eight dollars or something pretty cheap) and you get access to a whole heap of movies, and a whole heap of TV shows. I'm not sure if you can watch all the TV shows that are on Foxtel but I think most of them would be there, yeah. It's basically a streaming site, like YouTube... I think, haha.

From what I understand, there's different stuff depending on region. So the US Netflix has some stuff that the UK Netflix doesn't have, and I assume vice versa. I heard the other day that Netflix Australia is on its way (if you want to watch it at the moment you have to go through a few loopholes from what I understand; I'm sure someone can explain it better to you) but I very much doubt it'll be any good, given our generally lousy internet and our really restrictive copyright laws.

Just booked for NYE in Sydney with my boy

I had a Netflix trial and didn't use it really. I'll have to try again. We've been downloading stuff, not as it airs but as a season finishes or old stuff.

Miss 15 is watching prison break ATM. She's in lurve with Wentworth Miller. She's up to season 5 of house. She's watched Gilmore Girls.

We'd rather watch old stuff. Watching The Blacklist as it aired was regrettable, this season we're waiting until it all aired.
