Whomever it was earlier - I think it might've been @Thing? - who mentioned the fried onions... tonight is now kransky with fried onions, homemade rolls and Greek salad night in our house. I swear maybe 15 minutes after I read that post and I mentioned to Mr B that I now felt like a sausage, the smell of frying onions wafted in our windows from somewhere and my husband and I just looked at each other and were like come the f on now. So thanks for the dinner suggestion! :)
Yes, you cant resist them :) I went & got two of them - mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Yes totally crazy, it really is an exciting (but occasionally scary) time to be alive. Even just looking at the advances in the past 10 years is pretty staggering and kind of blows my mind, let alone those who grew up with none of this!

It's probably the least "scary" thing about how futuristic the world is at the moment, but I'm really afraid of video billboards or whatever you'd call them. They're always in those movies set in the future where everything goes wrong and when I saw one at a train station the other day I felt very uncomfortable!

I actually do find that pretty cute I have to say, but now I'll probably fear them too!

Wow that site!

Edit. Not watching schools spectacular, hubs has taken back ownership of the remote for the BB off season.

I made a mistake in my last post, the three year old isn't mine, he's my nephew. I'm 35 waaaay too old to be a mamma to a happy energetic 3yo.

I can't remember the last time I'd have watched 9 except for big brother. We usually have foxtel on.
I don't have Foxtel, I cancelled it a few years, I got annoyed that the price kept going as as did the amount of ads... but I do have netflix and Hulu. Looking forward to getting in to some good series over summer whilst nothing else is on FTA TV.

What is the aboriginal name for Drop Bears?

So, I write occasionally for a Czech TV website, and they have parties once or twice a year. I normally feel really awkward, because I don't speak Czech very well, but I just realised something. At the last one I manned the barbeque, because none of these nerds knew how to build and maintain a fire. Now, I am not a Mick Dundee by any means, but it seems an average Australian is still way better at fire maintainence then an average Czech. So, I realised that I now have my place at these things. And I wanted to say something like 'I was raised by wolves.' but it needs a specifically Australian spin, so, 'I was raised by...' what? Kangaroos? Too cliche. Koalas? No, koalas are lame. Drop bears is the thing. But, 'drop bears' doesn't sound exotic enough, so I need an Aboriginal name for drop bears. Any ideas?

"Cause you know I love the players
And you love the game
Cause we're young and we're reckless
We'll take this way too far
It'll leave you breathless"

Remember when Foxtel/Austar advertised that they had less ads than Free TV and they were actually delivering on that promise? I remember there being very few ads - those were the days.

Sadly, no more.
