I'm sure tertiary syphillis would be showing him symptoms by now... Being 90 and all... Could he submit a blood test and screen for all those diseases? Then it would put your mind at ease... I'm sure you will be fine though, just such a pain and worry to go through

I was thinking, a perfect example of irony would be if I contract Hep C from my needlestick patient after dodging the Hep C bullet after fucking years of IV drug use!

Hospital rang me today, my tests for HIV, Hep C and Hep B are clear, which I knew they would be. We just need to cross our fingers John Doe has been a good boy.

OMG! I had a complete sexual health test a few weeks back and took days for my results to come back (I know have to get retested for HIV again in 6 months due to the incubation period) and I knew I was clean, cos I hadn't been with anyone in so long, but DAMN next time, Im SO telling them it was needle stick, within 24 hours![DOUBLEPOST=1413451035][/DOUBLEPOST]

I know!

They must put the full rush on it when it is a work incident. They told me they took John Does blood today. I guess they only contact me if it is positive for something.

Have you never been stuck?

He talked to the DEM receptionist to get me through quicker, then came over to me with his phone in his hand, and said "what's your number?" I told him, then he called me and hung up and said "you have my number now, call me if you need me "

Ha!
