One of the greatest things about being in your 40's, you know what you want, you know what you need and you know how to get it. But I think the best part about my age is having enough money to be free to do what I like. I was poor for a long time. Fucking hated it.

I thought my 30's were awesome, that was until I hit my 40's!!!!!

How is this?! My son is 24, which is older than a lot of the fabulous boys who post in this thread!!!

I seriously love your attitude.

I'm supposed to be 30 next year but I've decided to put that on hold for about 5 years. I'm so not a 30 year old.

I suppose I'm not scare to get older, just don't feel that age yet haha
I do feel I'm mature enough right now to know what I want and how to get it... wow, maybe I am old.

Getting older means getting wiser, gaining more confidence, experiencing more life, and having enough money for better choices.

Not to sound like the condescending Nana, but when I compare the knowledge I had gained in my 30's to the knowledge I have acquired up until now, looking back I didn't know the difference between shit and chocolate. I am sure when I am in my 50's and I reflect on what I thought I knew in my 40's, I hope I will say the same.

You turn 30 with pride. Magic happens in your 30's embrace it and enjoy the ride!

It's funny because 20's me thinks he knows it all already, will 40's me really look back and think I knew nothing now? Maybe I peaked early?

I hope 40's me is just 20's me with more cars bikes and boats.

No way! Boat or JetSki for sure.
I'm not talking some luxury yacht or anything.
I did have a boat for about 5 years and wish I never got rid of it.

Well lucky you being so rich, boats can be so damn expensive to maintain. I'll still come and hang out on your boat though, especially if you get a luxury yacht. A jetski would be cool though, you should buy one now.

Haha. I think my mother would agree with your there, my dad owns a yacht and she hates the damn thing. I'm on the fence about it, I do really enjoy it when we go out in the middle of summer, swimming in the bay can be glorious, but then part of me hates it, because I think my biggest fear is the underside of boats when they're in the water, or boats sinking while I'm on them. Urgh.

A JetSki on the other hand, would be the most awesome thing ever. They are so much fun!

Yeah. The only thing that made me pause for a moment is the fact that by my 30th birthday, I would have been in my 20's for a third of my life so far. However when I reach 40, my 30's will have only been a quarter... No wonder it feels time goes faster :p
