General O/T Chit Chat Thread

Actually, no @penelopepitstop . Only had 2 nights in Salzburg and there was so much to see. We got in mid afternoon and he trip to Oberndorf took up from late arvo to late night. The sleigh ride took the entire day the next day, so we only had a morning to do a bit of a look around. Mostly did a walking tour. Lovley town - would love to go back some day.

Are you wanting or expecting snow? I lived there for half a year back in the early 90s and it snowed Christmas Eve. It was so picture postcard but by the next day it had all turned to slush. Brown watery dirt.

Im so upset my new shoes didnt arrive today, 1 I plan to wear saturday night so I wanted to break them in #firstworldgayboyproblems

Super fabulous!

Had a case conference with three doctors, physios, CN RN CNC, case manager, OT basically the whole multidisciplinary team, and got some really great feedback regarding my depth of knowledge when answering questions about the patients discussed. The CNC made a joke about the best person to ask about a patients ability to perform ADL's, their wound care their pain management, and their general obs is always the EN. The room laughed and I flushed with pleasure and for once was speechless! Ha!

This is amazing! Proving yourself daily, might be opportunity to slip EOI to the NUM? ;)As always super proud of you, knew you had it!

You and your fucking shoes!

You could wear a different pair of shoes every day from now until you reached 98 years of age and you would still have 234 pairs unused! And don't even get me started on your tshirt and your Calvin Klein collection!!!!

This is true. My friend who was an anaesthetic EN in operating theatres was always chosen by specialists to work in their theatres. Cardiac, paediatric, ENT, plastics to name a few.

Just so you know, I have donated a garbage bag of tees today and a pair of Lacoste shoes..... to make room for my new pair...s ;)

I did that a couple of weeks ago at the request of my CN. He wants me to work with him permanently. And he said he has mentioned to the NUM that we make a great team. He said that I need to be proactive and send an EOI, so I did that. NUM is in Paris till Dec, so hopefully I will get to work with him permanently on days.

Nurses can be mean. I have had backlash for being chosen as the AENAP, given I have the least on ward experience.

Umm I hate the NUM! Paris... till Dec! Bitch!
Nurses are bitches, eat their young, do well, they hate you, do badly, they hate you! Its amazing you have the support, backing and encouragement of your CN, rise above those bitches, then stamp it out, usually those who give the backlash are slack bitches anyway

Looks like the entire, Victorian State will now have enough TShirts to fit out every single homeless person with 15 TShirs each!!!!

The majority of staff complain how they never feel appreciated!!

I am not joking, I have never had a shift in my entire 18 month nursing career, where I have felt unappreciated.

I have a seminar on Friday, and it is being headed by the Educator I fantasies over! I already have my outfit picked out!!
 
So I've enrolled to do uni prep program at SCU online and I can't read and comprehend big blocks of text. It isn't going to work is it? I have good comprehension otherwise but for some reason reading on a screen is a huge challenge.
