Self employed here - lucky you can get one of those cards :) Should I get it seen to? How long do you leave things like that? Being in the country, it is a major excursion to go to the Drs .......

I thought it was one of those sty things that go away with time, and remedy was running a gold ring over it ..........

Definitely know how you feel. I used to live in North East Arnhem Land.

If it's a sty you're probably right. Be careful though... there's the odd exception to that rule.

Do you have health insurance? Because being able to talk to a nurse on a hotline 24/7 might be part of it.

N0 Health Insurance - I should have, but no. Might have to use Mr Google (but that can be scarey)

If it gets worse in the next 2 days, I'll go seek emergency attention at a hospital

Ok :) Keep it as clean as you can, drink water, make sure there's Vitamin C in your diet, and avoid sugar. Don't let yourself get sleep deprived. All keeps with infections.

we are also self employed and no medical aid.Scary thought if you end up in a hospital or accident without one.I would go get
that eye looked at,your eye-sight is not something you want to play around with

i have saline solution I have been cleaning with ...... Been drinking water, although I have a a couple of vinos tonight .... The only sugar I really have is a sprinkle in coffee .... and YES - I have been sleep deprived lately - maybe not enough shut eye :( Thanks for helping me out - When your eye is bung - it certainly is not a pretty sight (both ways)

Are you ok?

Thanks Linds, I am hearing you! I will see how it goes over next 2 days. I figure if it does not get better, I will go emergency at hospital, and it will be on Saturday, during the AFL Grand Final - better before or during - not after LOL

Who me? I'm ok... just stuffed up, headachy, and when I sneeze it's like a sonic blast of some kind

what symptoms do you have? Does it feel like something is inside the eye?

Thanks for helping - It is my left eye - lump in eyelid - more towards the centre of my face - big baggy eye underneath, just above cheek. Bit weepy when I awake ..... Read up on mr google .... going to do a heat pack on it - not gonna squeeze - ICKY - and NOT attractive :(

Not in my eye - But eyelid, and passing on in my face :(

sounds like it could be a cyst,you would need to go get that lanced by your doctor and get some antibiotics.Also could be a Stye

"A stye or hordeolum is a small, painful lump on the inside or outside of the eyelid. It is actually an abscess filled with pus and is usually caused by a staphylococcus bacteria eye infection.
Styes are common with most people experiencing one or two of them at some stage in their life.
Styes are usually visible on the surface but can appear deeper inside the eyelid."

I am heading to bed now with a hot compress - thanks for the advice @Lindsay1973 - it sure is not pleasant. I look at health issues as being something that also needs to be addressed in life and, well that is about it!

Hope it gets better soon,eye issues are the absolute worse thing
