...my Avatar?... why thanks bonnie... I had quite a few rums late last night and got into Christmas mode and decided to give it the Xmas look for the next few days...
...we'll be cruising for 10 days all up... I can't wait!...

...I'm guessing that his is how I will be seeing people most of the time on my cruise... what with the alcohol that will be flowing through my veins and all... cheers.

Lunch was a great success, well I assume it was because I have never done it before, but they had ham turkey and pork with roast veggies and lots of gravy, and a pav with cream and strawberries or pudding and icecream for desert, Santa came and everyone got a gift, carols were sung, laughs and tears, and best of all they were flooded with volunteers that you felt in the way, but never made to feel like you were, great to see so many people helping out people having a rough time in our community, everyone was made to feel extra special and they got a take home meal one way out! I have decided I will go another time at a normal time of year as I was reading that the Christmas ones always get inundated 3 months in advance, but the regular week to week struggle to get many, in saying that was heartwarming to meet people who have done this every week all year and companies who donate their workers to do it weekly

It sounds like a wonderful experience.
Thanks for sharing, sometimes we need to be reminded that people doing good deeds are appreciated, helping others is a two way street, the ones receiving are grateful and the ones giving feel a great warmth inside.

awww, I love mushy Mut.
So glad you enjoyed it as much as the recipients did. Boys & I used to do the packaging for gifts for the homeless as part of a school programme, just toiletries and stuff. We got to go to the distribution point a couple of times and was great to see how much difference a few personal items could make to someone's dignity. Felt really good. Onya Mut!- Status
