Is there anything quite as bad as a popped collar? I do not understand what goes on in a man's (always a man) head where he says... hey, lets stand this baby up!

About a collar? Fuck me, it just does not work - on any man, on any neck, on any occasion, on any shirt. I don't think there is a clearer way to say 'I'm a wanker' than to pop your collar.

.... but hey, that's just me, I'm willing to be convinced of the opposite idea. It'll take some doing though.

Only good thing about a Popper Collar its a visual warning that a wanker is approaching and to avoid at all costs

Bet he is concerned about his wrinkles. Collar stands draw attention away from the neck to the back of the head area. Like alice bands pull the skin back from the forehead :)

I have just seen a bit of Desperate Scouswives on Style. I can see where the big rollers fit right in...and the liverpool accents, and why essex died and went to heaven, and why chelsea is on the way. Not that I ever watched them :)
