General O/T Chit Chat Thread

I apologize for my lack of being around-ness tonight, apart from trying to ignore the hell ma dear mouth is puttin' me through, I've been trying to get some shiz done in my time off for an upcoming charity event we hold every year. My two Aunties and Mum put on this big 'do for breast cancer awareness... and, y'know, being the organizational and skillful person I am :rolleyes:, I like to have an active role in these things too :p so I've been busy organizing so much stuff... and it just gets very full-on, especially since we now have like three weeks before the night.

And then to make things even more hectic, we have the local Leader newspaper as well as the Cancer Council also wanting to have their own media in attendance to report on the event too, so aaaahhhh! TIME MACHINE FOR MOI, PUH-LEAZE.

Great cause Theorist. Hope it is fabulous. My mum a breast cancer survivor and she does all the events as well, even in her 70's. We just need to figure out a way to clone you.

I wondered where you were. If we lose out for such a good cause, then we will just have to be princesses and suck it up.

Depends on who you want to get rid of for some alonnnnneeeeeeeeee time :)

They become quite hostile to you when it happens...especially if you smirk after...and look at them lovingly :)

Yeah maybe scared is the wrong word, they just take it sooooo seriously. Even years ago on the OS BB forums, there'd be these full-on people jumping from thread to thread being idiots. I just want a quiet life.

Wootwoo! Best wishes to your mum, sounds like an amazing woman. :)

I lost my Grandmother this year after she battled it for eight-years, so will always be a charity close to my heart, and every bit counts. Just hoping it all can go off without a hitch! :D

I love to have a laugh. Life is too short and too stressed to take on board something that is not life threatening. :)

Agree 100%. It is fun to poke a stick into some of the volatile threads, though. Esp after a half bottle of wine :D

I'm just more disappointed that this post-surgery medication doesn't affect me more than it does and that I can't be of more entertainment to you guys at this time of night. :p

That means you need the medication still. When you don;t is when it plays and gives you highs . :) That is why people in real pain do not get addicted to the stuff they are given. Pain not strong enough...you take it and get head spins. :)

Sorry your Gran lost her battle, you must miss her. This is a great way for you and you family to make a real difference though. We made a donation today to a local breast cancer group having a function on the weekend. Look forward to hearing how yours goes:)

I am too old to drink now........but sure would like to at times :)

wine and the volatile threads would be funnnnnn :) button pushing and all of that
