I brought new shoes, they too big, but last pair, and I love them, anyone know how to shrink leather shoes?

can help re width but I doubt there's much you could do to shrink the length of the shoe?

Ohh any tips, they too wide and too long, but if the width was together the length wouldn't be too bad![DOUBLEPOST=1413532493][/DOUBLEPOST]

Not what I was told this time last week ;)

Thanks to the cheekiness of the above.. I was having all types of pondering.. asking myself why a would WANT any shrinkage of any kind, to anything that's clearly a footlong. (yes..pun intended there).

Seriously though, if they are leather or suede, get one of those spray bottles and fill with hot water and give them a decent little soak at the areas you want shrinkage. Then just pop them outside.. not in FULL sunlight as that would damage the hide and cause discolouration and cracking. To speed the process a little and not want to sun them, use a hair dryer to dry them off but hold it around 10 or so CM away but make sure the damp shoes are on a solid, flat surface or it could cause warping. When dried, get a soft dry cloth and rub the shoes over with a leather polish or oil ( you can get a neutral one at the supermarket) or even a light spray of oliveoil spray and wipe that off with a dry soft cloth.

I know this as one of my daughters is doing COSPLAY and one of her characters is Velma (Scooby Doo) and the only "right" damn shoe was a little to big (wide) for her foot.
