Haha! I just remembered "The Vicar Of Dibley" episode "Animals" when everyone brought their pets in for the special animal service. That episode was so funny.

I love all the Vicar episodes!

I might be blessing a piglet. I do hope they turn up as promised.

Hey @qtkt is this pet blessing ceremony a national thing? My friend was hoping to take her pup to one in Bellingen where she lives but isn't going to be in town as it turns out. Is it just a particular strand of faith?
Lots of Anglicans do it. Some other denominations do it to a lesser degree with probably catholic and uniting being the next biggest participants. It is only Christian though as it is celebrating a saint - Francis. His saint day is 4th October. Oh - and it's world wide.

Oh thanks, I'll see if I can find a church nearby for my friend, although most likely I've left it too late. I didn't realise this was a thing until recently, such a sweet sentiment.

Ummm because it's the best. Plus, the only other alternative is looking like this

It's not the best. In fact it is the worst and the health statistics prove it.

A couple of bad pictures of Madonna should not be your measure on what looks good. In fact, given she is in her mid 50's, her fitness and general health is probably pretty much optimal.

Enjoy the heart attack.

Ahhhh tomorrows diabetics.

Its all fun and games until they start slowly amputating their rotting toes at the cost of the tax payer.

Love your brutal honesty.

No, I know. Unfortunately my fussy palate insists in finding only the worst of all foods remotely sapid. For what it's worth, I do have some vague semblance of plans to make some changes in my lifestyle, but oh how I will miss greasy fried food.

Also, and this will sound facetious but I totally do not mean it as such, I love how you put your money where your mouth is (so to speak) as a nurse. The number of nurses I see smoking outside the hospital or know who don't seem overly concerned with their own vitality is quite staggering if I think about it. Good to know you aren't all talk and take it all very seriously.

Why would you find the fact nurses smoke staggering? Nursing is a profession, not a way of life. I mean you would have to live under a rock not to understand the knock on affect poor diet, poor sleep patterns and no exercise has on your body, it is not a secret that is exclusive to nurses. With the amount money that is spent by the government trying to educate people on the importance of diet and exercise, you would have to be a chimp with a tumour not to get it. I was health conscious long before I became a nurse.

You can still eat fried food and be healthy. Its not like an all or nothing challenge.

It's not so much the nurses smoking that I find staggering, just the number of ones I know who live a lifestyle comparable to mine when they are health professionals, that's all. I guess both of my parents work in healthcare and generally live a very health lifestyle so maybe that has conditioned me to assume that everyone in this industry is like them, so it was surprising for me to learn not.

I totally get that your career is separate from your life, but I found it surprising. Possibly not staggering though.

I'm generally a pretty all or nothing person, so honestly I feel like I would have to abstain completely. But maybe if I trained my body enough things would be dufferent.[DOUBLEPOST=1412409395][/DOUBLEPOST]
Well i feel like a lard ass now. But that hungry jacks was gooood

What did you get?? Let me live vicariously.
