Haha, well that is actually comforting. Thankfully, she cancelled last minute and is being super apologetic to me, so somhow it all got glossed over. Luckily, as I didn't get to sleep until closer til 5 & really didn't feel like facing Newtown on little sleep. Crisis averted!

Gosh don't you just love when that happens!

I know, it's amazing. Times like this make me think it really is all about me...

Preach it sister! I know what a burden it can be to always be the centre. Sometimes I wonder why I was given such a curse...

One, two, three back to me...

I have been on night shift and I have been having trouble sleeping through the day. After much advice from nursing friends I decided to try Phenergan. I spoke to the on call doctor and asked him what sort of dose I should take and he advised 30mg. Given that you can buy Phenergan over the counter, I felt deep down it wouldn't work.

So yesterday I dropped my 30mg and went to bed at 9am, knowing I would be wide awake by 11am. Predictably I woke up and was desperate not to look at the clock and will myself back to sleep, after about 10 minutes I gave up trying to sleep and looked at the clock to see how many hours or should I say how few hours I had actually slept and my clock said 07.30. Baffled I am trying to work out why it said such a ridiculous time, power shortage? faulty clock?, then I got up and opened my black curtains only to find it is night!! I slept straight through for 10 and a half fucking hours!!

I have NEVER felt so good nursing a night! You can't believe the difference sleep makes! I am off shift now, so I daren't go to sleep as I want to get back into a normal sleeping rhythm, but the fact I have been up since 07.30pm yesterday means my eyes are a tad weary.

So to any of you insomniacs, I can highly recommend Phenergan!!

Hahaha so true!

Btw Consuela, judging by your excitement at purchasing underwear, do you also have a large collection of underwear?
Underwear is my favourite item of clothing!!!

Ha! The amount of money I spend on underwear is quite alarming must there are just so many styles these days!

But yes underwear and also shoes consume a large part of pay.

Consuela I am bewildered. I'm not sure if current status is bourbon-related, thread-related, or just general OMFGwaterism. I am now afraid of green beakers. I have several; they are banished.

The good news is that hubby tonight skulked off to bed sans beaker. So we're safe for tonight.

He did as for a hug, though.

Edited to spell forking Consuela's name right in a tag... /soz.
