Watched one of the later eps and it made me want to have watched from the start to know how the people fitted in together
It's on the should do list but not a massive priority... Whereas binged on OITNB and House of Cards and BreakingBad and SOA ... Although haven't finished last series as I had to step away from it for a while ... Got a bit too violent and I needed a breather and just haven't got back to it

I completely recommend, Im just up to season 3, its so good!

I'm pretty sure he has been commissioned for season 4 too. I pretty much like all the characters - or at least how they are developed. Where are you up to?

He really nails it treading that line between serious and comedy. He has talent that lad. And who would have thought but it took off in America. More so than Australia even.

I watched the first ep when it first started and it didn't really grab me, it wasn't until I heard Lena Dunham of all people talking about it which got me back to watching, and so good, so surprised its successful in the US

I agree the characters have really developed become more dimensional well rounded, Im season 3 episode 2 so only have 8 more to go.

Pepper from Home and Away is fantastic as his bipolar mum

Yep, she is. His Dad is good too in a very different way. And Mai. And Hannah. And Keegan. They really are ALL good!! I think he has done really a clever and compassionate and funny (AND topical) show. Without it being super obviously ANY of those things. It is very subtly done. I think, anyway.

Any show that finds a funny show in difficult situations is a winner

No such luck, Trollop. Your boyfriend's emphysema is your best bet for coughed up blood clots. That'll be a laugh riot.

Beetlejuice is up and gnashing and angrily pounding on his keyboard I see!

My partner is 38 years old and he is in the peak of physical good health! I DEFY you to prove where I have said he has emphysema!

Now get to searching!

Hint for you,:- start with my September 2012 posts.

Oh NO. Really. Fuck. I'd still go Freeze.

Has anyone watched "Please Like Me"?
I used to like Josh Thomas when he was on Your Gen. Then I went to see him at the Opera House and he wasn't really all that funny by himself. After the show he had a signing and photos but people we strictly told not to touch him at all (which I guess is okay if that makes him feel uncomfortable) but worse still, as I watched, he never smiled once. I thought it seemed a little ungrateful.

Needless to say, I didn't line up!

You know every time I enjoy my instant coffee in the morning I feel slight shame, and I blame you!

You sir are a coffee snob!!
Have you got a pod machine? The Aldi ones are comparatively cheap and I actually think they make a nice cup of coffee :)

I put out a post about Please Like Me a few months ago, not sure which thread. Got no response at that time - or possibly reepbot (or others) knew it but hadnt watched. Its a great show. Against all odds.
