Haha nah no pillow or blanket.. Or PJs.That's a good idea. I remember we forced ourselves to stay awake, but we never succeeded. Which is why I don't get why I loved the marathons. But I did.
Did you take a pillow with you or blanket? I know many wore their pjs to these.
It didn't really make a lot of sense to plan to sleep, but I guess it was just a night out with mates. It was fun.
Do they even do them anymore? They used to happen every holidays.

Any Star Wars fans here?
I enjoy the movies, definitely not a superfan. I have been meaning to re watch them all before seeing the new movie, not sure I will have time now.
I did do the Star Wars temporary Facebook profile pic thing.
Massive star wars fan here, watched the re release in 97 in the movies, my grandmother took us, she got confused because the storm troopers are the bad guys, but are wearing white. Then got the videos of the originally trilogy.... My brother and I would watch them all the time.... Wore the tapes out. Saw all the prequels in the cinema..... And saw TFA on Wednesday at the midnight screening. Was amazing, JJ Abrams deserves all the praise in the world. Using practical effects again just made the film look much more like the OG trilogy. Having Lawrence Kasdan write TFA was a good move by Disney. Really was a good film and being someone who hated the prequels, I am so bloody happy I just want to watch it again.
They had a lot to live up to since the prequels really weren't well received by the true fans.Massive star wars fan here, watched the re release in 97 in the movies, my grandmother took us, she got confused because the storm troopers are the bad guys, but are wearing white. Were there heaps of people dressed up at the midnight screenings?

Not really, there were a few dudes in bathrobes, a few actual Jedis costumes. Mostly people just had on their star wars T shirts.... Actually there was a group of guys dressed in start treck costumes.... No idea what that was about. They had a lot to live up to since the prequels really weren't well received by the true fans.

I think some dressing up at a movie premiere can be a bit of fun. Like a fancy dress party. I've never done it though.
So was George Lucas not involved in this movie?

I would have went, loves those movies. Watched Clueless at almost every single sleepover in primary school.Earlier in the year there was a Mean Girls and Clueless double bill at the movies, can you believe no one wanted to go with me?
Thank you.[DOUBLEPOST=1450396610][/DOUBLEPOST]@Inigo Montoya, you look hot! Well I already knew this, but wow!
Nope, he sold Lucas film to Disney for 4 billion dollars. Best thing to ever happen to star wars.I guess they thought they were funny.

My Mr loooooves Star Wars. Me, not so much. When they started having each movie in the storyline order on TV a few weeks back, he got the kids hooked. The three of them are so super pumped, it's even rubbed off a tiny teeny bit onto me

Yeah I had a friend who was super obsessed and I could never really understood why. Once I watched them all in order though I can appreciate that they are decent films for what they are.My Mr loooooves Star Wars. Me, not so much. I watched one at the cinema with Mr C, in the time before the kids. I think it was the one where Luke & Leia were conceived. He got pretty pissed off with my questions - but how is that hottie meant to be darth vader? are there going to be any Ewoks in this one? So I never had to go again

Well if it ever comes again I know who I'm asking. I will force @Affable to cone too, I am determined for him to see Clueless before he dies!
Haha Coops, are you saying you didn't name your child Tai?!? Cher was my favourite, such a sweet girl. There wasn't really any villain in that movie was there, everyone was likeable. Oh I guess there was Amber.
@jessy_girl have you 'liked' Zooper Doopers on Facebook.
They have all these little videos with a dancing penguin.
I can only find this one on YouTube, but there are more on their Facebook.

I just read an article that Disney are going to make like 6 billion in revenue off the star wars merchandise next year. The projected revenue from the tickets sakes was only like 1.5 billion.... Crazy. Not that I didn't believe youbut I googled it. Absolutely insane amount of money. Half cash half Disney stocks. Not a bad racket.

Unfortunately by the time we were working out a name for Miss 10, we had a nephew Tyler, so didn't want anything that similar. Geez I loved that name

We are going to see if the internetz gods can provide the movie to us in the comfort of our home. If not, we will probably go & watch it over the Christmas break. Everything is better on the big screen

I could never do the old 3D (red and blue lenses or green or whatever they were) but have found that modern 3D doesn't give me a headache. We are going to see if the internetz gods can provide the movie to us in the comfort of our home. Avatar (this time the blue people movie) was pretty stunning in 3D, I even saw it at IMAX 3D.
