so i have some chit chat...
there is a girl at work, so lovely but everytime i talk to her she has something wrong with her. cold, hot, sore back, tired, cant find something, someone is annoying her e.t.c.
shes 35 and complains that her life isnt sorted (shes still renting, no kids and no husband, career not really established). I cant help but think its because shes such a negative person?
Shes really nice actually deep down and has some great morals and is a very kind person but I think she creates these bad situations for herself.
Is there anyway to tell them to shoosh and look on the bright side without actually saying it that bluntly?? lol

Aaahh the teen years, full of such awkwardness. I look back on mine & shudder.EB - No one likes a sad sack! After a few convos of her being negative & you trying to put a positive spin on it, i'd give up. I'd just reply "oh that's nice" or " yeah okay" and either change subject or walk away. You don't want to be sucked into the spiral of doom & gloom.

Excellent suggestion. Half my husband's relatives have put the bite on us so we don't talk to them anymore. Suits us just fine. Or ask her if she'll be your surrogate, that'll do it.

Was awful. I have no tea towels left and my stove looks like something out of a Ma & Pa Kettle movie. I thought the housework fairy would have cleaned it all up for me while I was at work today but she is obviously on strike!
