You know, I don't say this often enough but I believe that we need to more to protect our precious environment so that future generations don't have to suffer a nightmarish environmental future. So yeah, environment stuff is pretty important.

The USA will want a status quo system, keeping themselves as highest emitter.
Developing nations like China and India will want a per capita system. But they each have 5 ish times the population of the USA.
Australia and some others will want a density based system due to distances of roads and power.
Europe will do whatever they damn want.
Third world countries have zero reason to abide and will be proxy outputters.

The USA will never allow China to produce 5 times more than itself. Not ever. If the USA only produced it's per capita portion of the world output they would go into instant depression.
China will never allow USA to keep it's current output ratio. They will also move some polluting industries to African third world countries where they currently have oil interests.

Knowing human nature, the problem will need to be so bad before they do something it's going to be an afterthought.

Spend your energies partying in happy denial of it all.

Scientists might acknowledge the problem, but get them to say there is an actual solution. I blame capitalism for most of it.

If everyone in the world lived like the average US citizen we would need 4 or 5 planets to sustain all that consuming.

I sometimes wonder what the worlds environment would have been like if those commie bastards had won and capitalism was somehow gone forever, then I remember Chernobyl and I'm like, yep they would have also screwed up the environment.... maybe even worse than what capitalism has.

Awesome time. How was your Easter weekend ?
It was OK, spent a lot of time with the family. My sister came up and we went shopping and she almost shit her self at all the choices of shops... in the bay there is NOTHING! All they have is K-mart, target country and Rivers.

We have pretty large shops on the coast, but I went to Parramatta Westfield the other day... That place is MASSIVE!

The shopping centre around the corner from my house is three kilometres end to end. I've seen people in gym clothes power walking through there before, and indeed if I do end up walking from one end to the other I feel like I'm the height of fitness.

Look after your back. A lot of the posture advice your grandma told you starts to make sense as you get older. Gen Y will be a chiroprators dream.

Don't worry about the Leo glory veins.

I don't want to get preachy, but if I could turn back time....posture would be one of my early wishes. (after lotto)

Maybe I can scare you into action on that front. Do something about it now or you'll have to do stripper type exercises when you're older and feel like fools.

Same here! When I realise I'm slouching I feel so terrible about it, too. I feel like I've done so much irreversible damage.

It's just that I like slouching so much.

If I could turn back time I would try to stop 9/11.

Stripper type exercises sound like fun.

Some parts of ageing are counter-intuitive. Certain exercises become fun. I never liked pushups when young, but I respect now that they actually serve a purpose.

The exercise I was talking about is more the bridge exercise. As someone who doesn't dance it feels wrongtown.
