Hey Theo,

Hows the mouth

But I wanted to ask, you wouldn't have been a wee laddie when series 1 was on, how are you finding it watching it as an adult.
And were you aware of the watch out for Johnnies love song
Hellooo! I am getting SO over the mouth, but that's another story.

Well, I watched this series religiously back then, but watching it now with a different perspective is actually so amazing. I am LOVING it. Obviously as a 9 year-old a lot of things went over my head and I was never allowed to watch Uncut or anything like that of-course (actually I remember not even allowed to watch the Rove interviews because my bed time was before that :p) but I still remember a lot of it very vividly. Watching this series now as an adult though I can safely say that THIS is the Big Brother that I fell for and became so intrigued by in the first place. Even with just the way it's produced, the types of discussions they have both in the House and outside (some of the in-depth analysis discussions between Gretel and people she's interviewing on eviction shows, Uncut, etc is so so interesting) and the focus on the whole social experiment side of things really gets me.

But yeah. I plan on re-watching the entire eight years in order eventually, for both nostalgic reasons and also to see exactly how the show evolved and changed from what it was to what it has become now, because they're really so different. I am really looking forward to watching 2002 and 2003 though. I think out of all the BBAU seasons, 2002 is the one of I remember the least, so will be good to remember it all again.

About the Johnnie song though, to be honest I think that also went over my head back then too. I mean, I didn't even remember that the whole parachute incident was an attempt to tell the HM's that "Johnnie is a backstabber" until I saw it again, or that he was booed whenever someone mentioned his name at an eviction show. Very interesting to see!

:o And sorry about the long ramblings.... this is what happens when I have too much spare time, laying in bed with an iPad...
