Finale Alert! Happening 8 December

Part of the whole hype of BB returning this year is that it is current like the 9 and 10 series and not pre-recorded like 7 yet i think even 7 managed to do their finals live?
VIP and S15 (House of Love) were the only two with pre-recorded finales IIRC and they were filmed with Sonia and in S15's case the rest of the housemates in the backyard.

House of Love was pre-filmed almost a full year before it aired and VIP was only about a month or two delay but I'd guess a few of the other celebrities CBF returning for a live finale (particularly the ones from the US) so they just did it with the final 3 still in the house with Sonia and no audience and called it a day. LOL

The great thing about 2023's pre-recorded finale is that they filmed it in a way that they couldn't cut out Sonia's plug for casting being open for the next season in 2024 because it placed in the middle of her sign-off. Which yeah... 😂

Apologies if this has already been brought up in this thread, but how do we all think the finale is going to unfold? 1.5 hour run time according to EPG.

Will it just be the Daily Show a quick couple of evictions then the winners announcement?

Will we see interviews with every housemate as well as VTs of each of their time's in the house? Have we even seen a single VT apart from the housemates intro packages?

They could have bleeped it for extra comedic value.

Well, I'm looking forward to the finale for one reason - because their time on stage is when I learn the most about the housemates 😂 This series has been a doozy as far as learning anything about these people. Several of them I still only know as much about them as I did when they first went in.

At this rate I'm not even expecting them to feature the evicted housemates, except maybe whoever is evicted Sunday night (which I guess includes Ed) and probably Holly so we can get the vomit-inducing reunion between Holly and Colin.

Yeah I thought so too last week and feels more confirmed now that Vinnie just went home so why would they fly him straight back up a few days later. I don’t think it’ll be much family either but some friends and family might make their own way there. Of course they will have Holly for the disgusting reunion.

Looks like a storm again tonight right when the show is on so I don’t even know how they’re supposed to have an audience at all? Tomorrow night looks ok though.

I just got this email… are they taking our phones away from us again? Not fair seeing as all the other shows people have had phones.

I got the same email for a show I went to on the 17th Nov, and there were no lockers. I'd say it's just generic. I went to the launch and got the same email, that was just due to the pre-recording... as we had to put our phones in the lockers.

Yeah I went to the launch too and it was hell being away from my phone for so long 🤣

Based on what happened with BBUK I thought we'd get to this point being left wanting more and feeling like the show would really benefit from an extra couple of weeks but it does feel like we've got to this point with everyone kind of glad this series is over.

Whilst the snap evictions and decision not to do any live double evictions is an issue it feels like they're quite far down the list of issues. As discussed elsewhere everything is fixable and wanting this series to be over doesn't mean we don't want another - I think we're just mainly done with this cast.

That is what I am thinking as well. If they have just either poured in some money to make production a bit faster or push the show back to February next year, then we can get more time to see more dynamics forming for sure. However, the cast would really need to be strong to present that.

BBUK's 7 weeks this year, while it's an improvement, but it suffered from poor casting (influencer-fest) in general, as well as poor pacing with the fake eviction and a 17-housemate cast. (which was in line with the prior series)

I would love to see things move normally and then slowly ramping up, rather than just put a sudden spike towards the end like this year for sure, but at the end, the cast is a make or break for those. I am hopeful on that.

I actually think other than Mia and maybe Connor, a lot of this cast has an old school type to it. The issue is that they went too far down the extreme end of casting people who not only had problematic views but were just either unpleasant or boring or perhaps both with Michael most of the time. I think they could have cast a lot more interesting men for the show than the ones they picked in particular.
