Feeling a bit sorry for Estelle

I don't feel sorry for Estelle in the slightest. She wants to be different and individual and not conform then expect to be on the outer. I suspect she would spend most of her life like that . people choose to be an individual out of choice, don't feel sorry for them when people don't agree with their choices. Some people get a kick out of being non-conformists.

Or maybe, just *maybe*, people are individuals who choose to be sheep?

Layla is the biggest sheep of them all (and I mean BIG in every way!) She is incapable of forming an informed opinion of her own because her brain is missing an entire section. She did try briefly to be civil to Estelle but then the bitches that do her thinking for her (i.e. Ben and Stacey and Zoe) told her not to, so she stopped. She is beneath contempt - an absolute zero. (And hey, I'm English, btw, so defo not against her for xenophobic reasons!)

I'm not an Estelle fan, but neither do I dislike her. In fact, I don't have a favourite housemate as I don't feel I have really got to know any of them properly:I partly blame this on the format of the show and the heavy-handed editing. However, in today's show I felt sorry for Estelle, especially when Ben and Layla were bitching about her while she was preparing their evening meal. I also felt for her when Ben was criticizing her "inconsistent" personality. I was surprised she didn't say anything back, but just took his comments in her stride. I know that if I was her, I would have had a go at him then!

So, I guess what I'm saying is that Estelle, despite her quirks, would not be such an unworthy BB winner. She is definitely not worse than Ben or Layla. May the "best" person win!

Does this mean you'll be sparing her a few votes duckie? :p :) We would be so very thankful if you did!

Now it's down to three I understand what they mean by Estelle's social awkwardness. She is quirky, odd etc but it's her.

She doesn't talk over them as much as tries to stay involved. She faced an amazing struggle. Ostracised.

I hated Layla giving her the cold shoulder twice during the eviction of Zoe and then Michael a further two times. It was so obvious that Layla's evil feelings were on show. And it was sad to see Estelle just take it in her stride.

When all of them have been so horrible it's so hard to imagine how she can interact with them on an equal footing. The exclusion persisted in every scene tonight and was ever present.

I can only hope that others can at least see the real isolation and pain she felt and feels.

+1

She's awkward, but sweet.

Her counterparts? Charismatic but wholly nasty, two-faced and unpleasant.

QFT.

Layla is contemptible. Playing the girliest of girly games. Contemptible. Evil. For those who see her shallowness and evil through failure to act and therefore enabling all the gossip and bitching. She was a clearing house for gossip and a complete vacuum of brainless apathy.

Horrible. Horrible horrible. Not what I would want any girl to aspire to or support.

What did he mean by inconsistent personalities?

I think Ben was making it up as he went along and then did a U turn, he lost his bearings and finished it off with something nice... I think.

Otherwise it was edited so much that when they put it together that was the best they could do.

I have no clue what Ben was on about with inconsistent personalities....

lol about 10 HMs have independent called her a weirdo. She's dumber than Brad.

Have you seen the video with Michael bagging Estelle to the HMs back in August?
Stacey didn't have a problem with Estelle and Angie stuck up for her.
It seems if you bag someone enough people will repeat what they hear, just like some of the forum members.
Did you see the video where Ben, Michael and Estelle were talking in the kitchen and Ben discovered some of the HMs were spreading lies to put HMs off Estelle?

Really, that's your take on this?

Estelle has said that some of the things in her life haven't been so good. i believe that. She has respect for her family and hasn't said what it was/is. The fellow house mates ridiculed her saying that she comes from a privileged family, a horse etc, how bad could it be? Money doesn't mean bad things don't happen!

I don't think Estelle has chosen to have "inconstant personalities" I think it has been a survival tool in her life. I don't even think she has chosen to be an individual. This is what she is. Being in the house has triggered some of her protective behaviours into action, and being under constant fire from Ben and his cronies, makes her worse. but the the things she does are not vindictive, like the others, they might be annoying, but she comes across as a genuinely caring and forgiving person. - lol just ask Dr. Jem ;)

And hell, I certainly would have responded in a more firery way than Estelle has to this bitching. its a credit to her personality that she has survived this so well. I think she deserves to win.

Does anyone know what Ben was talking about when he said (something like) "what people were saying about you in this last week, I found out wasn't true"?

My first thought was Michael and his acting like Estelle was the one all over him when he really was the one instigating a lot of the affection, but I wasn't sure.

^Apparently someone has spread some nasty rumours about Estelle stealing and hiding things like hairspray, when Estelle has said she has never used hairspray in the house.
She admitted to hiding honey, and there's footage of that but nothing else.

So it just goes to show you, I honestly think that Estelle has got on the wrong side of one of the housemates and been the butt of vicious lies and it's spread.

I honestly think it all came down to her just not knowing when she wasn't wanted to take part in conversations. She also doesn't kind of adapt and blend in as much as everyone else.

isnt she nice cooking dinner for the other two housemates, look at me.

just a comment.

I dont care who wins. now. I will be pleased for them.

You make it sound as if this is a bad thing

Some people get a kick out of being non-conformists.

Guilty as charged :o
