Feeling a bit sorry for Estelle

I'm not an Estelle fan, but neither do I dislike her. In fact, I don't have a favourite housemate as I don't feel I have really got to know any of them properly:I partly blame this on the format of the show and the heavy-handed editing. However, in today's show I felt sorry for Estelle, especially when Ben and Layla were bitching about her while she was preparing their evening meal. I also felt for her when Ben was criticizing her "inconsistent" personality. I was surprised she didn't say anything back, but just took his comments in her stride. I know that if I was her, I would have had a go at him then!

So, I guess what I'm saying is that Estelle, despite her quirks, would not be such an unworthy BB winner. She is definitely not worse than Ben or Layla. May the "best" person win!

Estelle isn't quirky. Ben's a two-faced jerk.

Estelle is the only worthy winner.

It's like with Sam, he did lots for them but they still bitched. So it's been as if Estelle was treated like another intruder who somehow doesn't have the right to be there. That's Layla's attitude and might still be Ben's too. But as she has been saved so many times, more than those 2, she obviously has a right to be there.

What did he mean by inconsistent personalities?

It's a myth, created and perpetuated by Ben and the other bitches. All I could see was happy, kind, forgiving Estelle (for the majority of the time) and upset Estelle (when the bitches were being vile). That doesn't qualify as "inconsistent" in my book. In fact most of us would have coped far worse in the face of such ostracism.

I guess that's what makes her such a good person, she has such strength of character. Like her or hate her, imagine yourself in that situation. I for one would have either called everyone fuck wits or been a crying in my bed alone :)

I finally get why people don't like her. She is definitely a bit awkward.......when she says things, they come out with the timing a bit off and the content a bit strange, a bit non sequitur. I have a friend who is similar and it took my other friends a long time to get him.

However, Estelle remains quite sweet, non retaliatory and naive, quite endearing.

I don't feel sorry for Estelle in the slightest. She wants to be different and individual and not conform then expect to be on the outer. I suspect she would spend most of her life like that . people choose to be an individual out of choice, don't feel sorry for them when people don't agree with their choices. Some people get a kick out of being non-conformists.

People choose to be individual so not to be sheep, Estelle has the right idea and good for her to stay out of the flock!

Well....not really....if you're true to yourself you can't really change who you are?

WE must assume that the show is so heavily edited and with no live feed we only get to see such a small portion of who each housemate really is.

Like others I cannot see what the supposed problems with Estelle are. I hate that gangsta rap crap but apart from that she seems like a nice normal girl.

I think she will feel worse when she watches episodes of the show when she gets out, all of them (except sam) have said mean and spiteful things about her at one time or another.

Oh Yeah, see how quickly I forget housemates.:)

I probably should of said the longest serving or last remaining, you know what i mean?

I dno why people hate her with lame excuse "oh people in the house hate her, so she must be horrible", y not judge character with own eyes by what u've been shown. Living in the house is different, but we have the advantage of not judging character with biased opinions (although we do..and BB can control the edits :p), but thats just wierd reason to come up with, its sounds like primary school.

This is exactly how bitchy group is generated in the house also, Angie says Estelle is so and so, Layla's like OMG I knew it, I sensed it. Then rumour starts flowing and everyone hates her all of a sudden.
