Fans worried over a perceived rigged outcome

I want the one who entertained me the most to win. (Still hoping that happens)

It's not best sympathy vote. (Yep she won BB 2 on the sympathy vote)

When the other celebs first saw it was Reggie, they said 'jokingly' something like, we should go home you have won it.

Ideally that would be how it works, but people usually vote for looks or sympathy factor over entertainment value. Although some winners are a complete mystery (Terri and frozen chicken guy*, for example).

*I don't even care to look up his name.

Terri was a regular caller to Kyle & Jackie's radio station.

Kyle & Jacki, were the hosts that year.

Ryan Ginns is who you are thinking of.

Terri won through hard manipulation. They had the anonymous voting tallies on screen. They were pleading that if you want Nanna Terri to win you vote. Heavily suggesting she wasn't winning. They extended the voting times. They then decided the show the tallies with the names to show Ben was winning. Pleaded more. The broadcast dragged on as they waited until their pleading worked and she had more votes. Closed the poll lines.

The how and why they were so desperate for the finale Big Brother on 10 to have an old racist lady win is the mystery to me.

Ryan was the epitome of casual viewers determining the winner. Travis was a bigger part of the house, so more room to have varying opinions. Skye was Skye. I wanted her to win. Not sure what changed with her from then to winning Celeb. Probably more relatable now she's a mum to the voters. They'd never have voted her as the hot dumb blond, even though she was hilarious and entertaining.

It's not that people don't believe her, it's more like she uses it to manipulate people. She has been talkng about being blind for years.

People assume if you are blind, you have no sight.

Though they shouldn't say anything.

She talks about her blindness & how she is a 'single' mum. Yet hardly mentions her long term partner.

Reggie is bound to be on another reality tv show, as she is thirsty to get her own show or be on any show etc.

I called bullshit on her saying, when she has applied for jobs, they have said she missed out because she is blind. (her words)

They would be sued for discrimination etc. I have friends who are blind & they have full time jobs.

And you know what they say about assuming right? I have no idea how you can assume you know all about her situation when what you’ve seen of her is just a drop in the bucket. As for disabilities and employment I know from experience that laws are on the side of the person with a disability it can be an uphill battle to have said rights respected. Especially in cases where a required accommodation isn’t necessarily going to be cut and dry AND you’re not even hired.

Kaz you have a really negative view of people and possibly the world. I hope you'll find some happiness one day.

Just because I don't fall for her SOB story.

Other people have had much worse.

Like my dad had MND/ALS & not once was he after sympathy nor mentioning it, every few days.

Go back & read the replies, people were posting she mentioned her blindness again.
 
Reggie won BB the second time because she represents a time the fans love - it was always going to be a past housemate who won that season. And really it was going to be between Tim and Reggie in terms of most popular of each era. The people in the house knew, production knew, the fans knew. Nostalgia won, not a disability or a sob story.
 
@Isee Reggie was always going the win BB. Others here & elsewhere knew. IMO the sob story did win it for her.
 
I would imagine Reggie would also struggle with landing a job due to her son's condition as well. My sister has Cystic Fibrosis and cannoy physically work more than a few hours a week, my mum is pretty much her part time carer. Reggie would be the same with her son. Both my mum and sister have had to leave jobs due to them not being accomodating to the situation. I would guess Reggie has faced similar issues.

Not only that, but also being blind would not be a favourable resume addition by employers. Sad, but true. And even when I first met Reggie years ago she couldn't drive and we had to drive her back to her house. She spoke a lot about her partner to us, and how going blind impacted her life. People really can be cruel to disabilities that aren’t you can’t physically see.

I am personally of the opinion that she wins BB2022 with or without a sob story. I agree that it was nostalgia that won more than anything, of course Reggie was always going to win but that was a given long before she was diagnosed with her condition. She was always destined to be the winner had an all stars ever eventuated.
