Did you have to pay to go and watch FNL too?

As I said I wasn't a fan so generally skipped FNL so the only two things I really remember about it are them nearly causing a diplomatic incident with Mexico by flinging food at their flag and then a couple of years later breaking Rima.

lightning mcqueen eat your heart out.
You must have seen the unintentional Get Smart sketch I did in front of everyone at Dreamworld while in the audience queue...

My idiot father and I had gone to Macca's to get dinner for the family, I placed it lovingly in the boot of the rental wagon. We drove up to the queue and he let me out, I walked to the door of the boot, and of course he drives off just after I got there so I have to chase after him into the car park to get the food 🤣

If memory serves, yes I think we did have to pay, can't remember how much though.

I used to really like FNL despite how ridiculous and corny it was. I also remember they also showed the show between Big Brother seasons with regular people rather than Big Brother contestants and it was fairly popular even in that format.

Yes. $28 in 2008 with 300 seats available, courtesy of the Internet Archive Wayback Machine (see attached screenshot). Assuming all tickets sold out, that would have been $8400 in ticket sales for a single round of FNL.

Fun fact: Tickets to evictions started out cheaper than FNL, due to separate gold, silver and grass tickets. For a random eviction date in 2008 the prices were $15 for the grass area up the back, $20 for silver (seated rows 16-26) and $70 for gold (seated rows 4-15 & bonus 1 day Dreamworld entry)

Interesting the auditorium made $8400 a show (in 08) Mike, Bree and fitzy leaked live on air that they made $5,000 for hosting an episode of Friday night live. I can’t remember where/ when it was but if I combed through enough I’ll find it

I think I'd rather rewatch every episode from Seven back to back than every episode, or indeed any episode, of FNL again. Really was the worst element of the show on Ten.
I grew up watching FNL and i loved it, complete with the ninjas, and adult housemates playing what were essentially oversized versions of kids games.

I spoke to Travis from bb07 about him getting injured playing one of those “oversized kids games” he was in constant pain the house for the remainder of his stay…
