Ed is a deadset prick.

How is Ed to blame for Jade's stupidity? He laid down the guidelines in week 2 for her, how does that make him a jerk? He stated from day one he didn't want a full blown relationship eg: Tully and Drew in the house.

So i fail to see how he using Jade. Its her naivety and stupidity that is cringeworthy.

I agree, to a point.

In seeing that she is so besotted by him, it would probably be more chivalrous for him to stop the kissy kissy lovey dovey stuff. He's not understanding that she is not understanding his take on their relationship, and she will be hurt.

That's where his actions are letting him down, in my opinion anyway.

Exactly, I've watched many Big Brothers where others have done worst, and Ed is far from being the prick they are making him out to be. Other people would most likely see a girl like Jade who loves throwing her sexuality around as easy, and sleep with her. They would have no calms taking advantage of someone mentally unstable, and throw her away once they had what they wanted. Ed has shown restrain if anything else. The sad thing is people expect for him to sleep with Jade, and marry her after the show to prove he is a nice guy. I am led to believe many of those who seem to want that to be the case are Twilight tweeners. Grown adults would have a better understand of reality and discern the Ed and Jade situation just fine. I do agree that Ed should not have continue with what he is doing, but he is far from the bad guy people are making him out to be.
 
When Ed's evicted I really hope Sonia can redeem herself (after the underwhelming Tully interview that could have been a youtube hit) and tell him to stop beating around the bush! C'mon Sonia!! (not just regarding Jade, but his obsession with Tim and game playing)

But don't you think he was being a prick with the "You make do with what you have" comment? He's obsessed with his own image but he doesn't stop to consider how pathetic that comment makes her look. In the real world it would be different, but he should show more sensitivity as they're on a bloody TV show.
 
Ed's actions or rather inaction and Jade's delusion/desperation/persistence/whatever are two entirely different subjects. I've called Jade out many a time for her borderline obsessive, silly behavior. However, Ed is to blame for carrying on with someone he knows has a serious interest in him when he does not reciprocate those feelings. It's called taking advantage. He is also to blame for telling literally everyone else clearly, bluntly that he doesn't want a relationship with Jade. But when Jade is in the room he devolves into a mumbly, passive eunuch whose speech is encrypted. He is using her. Granted, yes, she is allowing herself to be used. But that doesn't excuse his douchebaggery. All he had to do was tell her straight up and be firm if she persisted. Matt managed. Ed is just too much of a hound to giveup having a warm body at his disposal.
 
Ed doesn't want Jade but he doesn't want anyone else to have her (so to speak) either - Tim shows interest in Jade suddenly her and Ed are spending a lot of time together and sharing a bed.
If Jade can tell Tim she isn't interested why can't Ed - gutless. Worried he is going to come off the bad guy. Meanwhile he talks to Tahan how he isn't interested in Jade even knowing that Jade is right into him.
Yes Jade is deluded about Ed but he ain't helping in fact he's playing on it - seems to me as some kind of way to get to Tim - not that Tim gives a toss. Tim tried to tell Jade Ed isn't the Prince Charming he appears to be but Jade won't hear it.

Well said indeed! He's either a giant anus or a coward to be so frank about his intentions with others, but so washy washy with a girl who is clearly rubbish at decoding mixed messages.

i will admit i skimmed over most of the posts from the start and made no referral to them because I'm sure i share the opinion of them lol
It's the posts and attack on him based on the jade situation that i was responding to, there's no need for it the guy is a jerk but not for the reasons people were commenting on regarding jade :)

He has told her quite bluntly too, and she made it clear to him that she understood where she stands.... She should know better than fool around with someone she wants more from but knows he doesn't want it from her
I'm not sure she's ever had to take no for an answer maybe that would explain it but she's learning the hard way, like I'm sure most of us had at one time lol

Drew a prick because he partook in cheating, and he is legitimately gutless.

Mikkayla is a prick because all she does is sit on her moral high horse, when she is just as bad as anyone when it comes to bitching and being mean.

I just don't understand how people can have so much dislike for one guy who doesn't do that much wrong, when there are so dead set pretentious flogs in that house that actually are skid marks on society.

Those housemates cop their fair share of flack as well. I think the difference is they have all provided entertainment alongside their annoying traits, whereas Ed hasn't, he's irritating or dull.

If that's the case dear than you wouldn't have made the comment you did. No one has discussed Ed leading Jade on since Sept 20th and that was one person 9 pages ago. Then again I guess you "can find your way around these threads fine" if by that you mean merely reading the first post and then skipping ahead 15 pages to assume you or the person you're quoting is saying something relevant to the thread. 99% of the people commenting in this thread are well aware of Jade's role in all this crap. As I said there are countless other reasons to dislike him that don't involve her in the slightest, hence 16 pages of comments.

I think it's a load of rubbish, a fantasy in his head he's using to keep himself in the house for the time being. Ed's so fake and boring.
 
I don't think Ed is mean, he's just a directionless idiot. No plan at all, just a few random actions.
 
OMG. I was watching yesterdays episode. When it is morning here, it is evening in Australia. Anyway Listening to Justynn and Ed talk and to my astonishment I hear Justynn tell Ed that is is articulate.

I nearly swallowed my coffee with cup. Bahahah If anyone is definitely not articulate it is Ed.
