Drew is basically a nice guy, but he is particularly vulnerable to Tully's evil spell. She knows how to mess with his head, and he doesn't seem have the right defense mechanisms. In fact when he gets pissed with her, she is then able to use that against him, because she knows how to play the victim. She is a master manipulator in very a toxic way. I suspect her girlfriend in real-life may have made a lucky escape from that relationship. Drew will be a different person again when Tully finally leaves the house.

She's negative, an asshole, hypocritical, a cheater, manipulator, backstabber, and on top of all of that? Definitely crazy.

Thirdly, the way she treats other housemates sickens me. I don't even like Mikkayla and I still feel bad for her about how Tully acts about her.

Fourthly, Drew is an idiot for associating himself with her. I didn't really approve of his lusting after Jade either (as it wasn't reciprocated enough), but he's a major moron for turning to Tully. He comes off as so desperate, it's sad.

Fifthly, his personality has just gotten worse and worse. He's gone from being potentially misunderstood and quiet to simply seeming shallow and disrespectful.

You know what I was thinking. We have the so called "girl code" meaning women that hit on taken men are violating that code but you do not hear that with men. When they hit on a taken woman it is also the woman's fault.

Now about Drew. (I am always playing catch up but I have nearly caught up.) The thing is reading this thread I thought Drew had done more despicable things but with only 6 minutes of last night's episode to watch,I do not think he was that bad.

Maybe I missed downloading an ep cause I read he had made fun of Jade in front of Tully? Yes I do not like that he is so involved with her and I also do not like how he talked behind Tim's back, but he is not that bad as I expected him to be reading here.

I know there is one that is very short 18 minutes or so.

Ok. After the all the updates, I just feel sorry for him. Clearly, he has been brainwashed and is not of sound mind since his thoughts are Tully's thoughts. This is a dire situation to behold.

Nope. He's at fault here. Tully is clearly crazy and at fault as well, but he knows she's taken and he doesn't care how it comes off. Matt commented on it, saying he lacked character for going after a taken girl and how it made HIM look bad. I completely agree with him. Drew is being a moron right now.

I've heard of the bro code much more than the girl code, btw.

This is the part of Matt I loved. Tim also has mentioned it to drew. He knows and he is still continuing, so no one else to blame.

Gaslighting. That's a behaviour of NPD and Borderline but my money is on Borderline.

My mother has NPD (narcissistic personality disorder). Tim is def. on the spectrum but probs just N traits. Haven't seen overt gaslighting from him, deceptions but not to harm individuals, he's on the group deception level, to propel himself forward, e.g. fake birthday. So more program management than project.


So the big question is why is Drew so easily manipulated? He's obvs pre-disposed. He's pretty avoidant. Obviously terrified of conflict, poor love. Something must have happened to him. He's been controlled before because his resistance is so low.

Where the fuck is the house shrink? At least give her some meds ffs.

Wow. I am learning some interesting stuff from these forums. Gas lighting. Too weird. The BB people couldn't script this stuff!

That makes perfect sense to me. There should be house psychs for the hm's. might help them understand themselves better and also help them identify issues they may have.
 
It's a term adopted from the play and movie Gaslight where a man tries to drive his wife insane but brainwashing her that her experiences can't be trusted. It's to confuse the victim and keep them disorientated and compliant.

Last year they had a consultant in Brisbane but not on set.

BPD is not so easy to diagnose I venture in the psych screening. She lacks insight and is delusional so her psych responses would be skewed to how she perceives herself not her actual behaviour. No doubt she was bubbly and positive and BB were so keen for a prima facie attractive lesbian (who knows Ruby Rose so that would have a bit of play with the execs) they didn't probe enough.
 
Yeah, when Tully first appeared on screen, I honestly thought I'd like her a lot! It's easy to fool people with shallow meetings. It's the 24/7 stuff that makes you see how crazy they are.

Exactly. We've all had shit flatmates. How they perform in the interview bears little resemblance. I've lived with some real psychos that presented as considerate.

I agree, there is definitely an existing disorder. I'm just not sure BB cares too much about the emotional abuse that is clearly going on (from Tully towards Drew AND Tahlia... Tully is playing mind games with her as well as I see it).

All it would take to sort this girl out would be a diary room session, with BB asking her lots of implied questions about her GF; how does she think Tahlia feels about her and Drew having such an exclusive relationship, is she still missing her GF... Plant some seeds of doubt in her head. Watch her squirm then...Manipulative people don't like being played at their own game.
